Laneige BB Cushion SPF 50+ PA+++ Review

Some of you may have already heard that Laneige will soon be leaving the Philippines. I was honestly very surprised when I learned this because I know that this brand is really good quality and I know that they already have a following.

I have a few favorites from the brand such as their Water Sleeping Pack and a few skin care products, but as for makeup, I gotta say I found my most favorite cushion from Laneige.

I have the Laneige BB Cushion SPF 50+ PA+++ and for a person who doesn’t tend to grab cushions on a daily, this has become my most used BB cushion out of the bunch that I have.

So since I know that Laneige is offering great deals and discounts as they bid goodbye, I thought I’d share my thoughts on my favorite BB cushion.

Packaging wise, it’s very simple yet looks really elegant with the its white cover. Inside, it’s the typical look for a BB cushion.

As for reference, the shade that I use is #21. I usually go for #21 or #23 for Korean makeup.

The sponge that comes with it is nothing spectacular. I prefer the NLighten sponge.

The Laneige BB cushion gives a semi-matte finish so the face still looks very radiant without looking too cakey. Also, it has a high SPF  so it’s perfect if you’ll be out and about.

When you look at the cushion, you would initially think that it looks dark but it’s actually not.

I really like the coverage of the Laneige BB cushion. It gives me medium coverage yet it doesn’t look heavy and I look like I was airbrushed. It’s very builable so you can definitely adjust how thick you want it to be. I’ve tried layering it and it can only give me until medium coverage though. But it works amazingly in covering the pores and also concealing some of my blemishes- which is basically what I need.

This has become my most favorite BB cushion because it’s so easy to use and it’s also flash friendly. I don’t get any white cast with this product and my makeup looks like it was airbrushed.

The foundation doesn’t look grey in real life, pardon the photos because I took them inside the car so they might appear greyish. It also doesn’t get too dark on me. Usually base makeup tend to oxidize in a few hours, less than 3 hours.

I always get compliments when I wear this BB cushion because they say my skin is glowing.

Is it worth buying given that more and more brands are carrying BB cushions? If you are a fan of cushions, this is definitely something worth trying. For me, Asian BB cushion still wins over the Western counterparts especially for Asian skin. This is by far my favorite BB cushion and I would recommend this to anyone who hasn’t tried cushions yet. 🙂
