I have a little secret I wanted to share with you. It’s my most favorite finishing powder at the moment and it’s also very affordable too. I got this a few weeks back from Althea Korea and it’s their very own Althea Korea Petal Velvet Powder. This little baby magic is only P210.00 for 3g and it already comes with a puff. It’s good for any skin types.

To be honest, first thing that I noticed was the scent. It smelled so nice, it smelled sweet; but not in an irritating way. I actually really like it. Next thing is how finely milled the powder is. This is definitely in my top picks because of how fine the powder is. You can barely feel it! Seriously, it’s so light weight and it really minimizes my pores and helps keep oils away from my face.
I was also surprised that it really did help with my oiliness. The sebum control of this product is great. Pair it with a matte foundation and you’ll get that perfect matte look! As you can see from the photo below, it looks like my makeup was airbrushed!
The perfectly fine particles help the texture of the skin. As the name suggests, the skin becomes velvety smooth. I swear! It also minimizes the appearance of my pores because it can get into all the crevices of my face. The Althea Petal Velvet Powder is translucent so you can’t expect any coverage for spots and hyperpigmentation. But this wears amazing on top of makeup or even as is!
Look at how smooth my skin looks! And FYI, this was taken 6 hours after application without any retouching. And in fact, I did not even have to retouch the entire day. It lasted me until night time!
They also used natural ingredients to create this product so it’s non-comedogenic. I’ve used this on top of my makeup, to set my foundation and I’ve also used this without any foundation, just concealer- and it works perfectly! I’ve gone back to the gym and this is my usual look to the gym. Just brows, some concealer on my undereye, blush and lip tint and of course Petal Velvet Powder. Do you see how my skin looks? It seems like I put more time and effort into my look and it blurred my pores.
