Colourpop Lippie Stix in Lumiere

If you were to look at my makeup drawers, I would find loads of lipsticks. Honestly, I have been trying to cut back and have given a lot of my other lipsticks to my family because I have been trying to streamline and minimize the makeup that I use on myself. Of course, it's different for my traincase where I keep all the makeup that I use for my clients when I have makeup jobs.

However, I do feel that lipsticks play a major part of one's look that I can't seem to decrease my lipstick collection. :) So while I was fixing my vanity, I saw my Colourpop Lippie Stix in Lumiere which I realized I haven't reviewed yet.

Let me start with the packaging. Actually I have three lippie stix. Each one comes in a slim, white box. On it, there's a holographic LIPPIE STIX and of course the brand. The shade name is printed on a sticker-like material and sticked on the bottom of the box.

The product is cased in a white, twist up tube and at the bottom you will find the name of the shade. It's actually nice how slim it is, reminds me of a marker.

The shade Lumiere is a collaboration between Colourpop and Kathleen Lights. It is described as  a “dusty mauve pink” with a matte finish. When I searched for swatches, it looked different depending on the skin tone. For me, it looked cooler and has that ashy deep mauve shade.

First swatch, I was in love. I don't have anything like it. It glided easily and smoothly to my surprise. You know how it is with matte finishes and how drying some may be. This one though, didn't leave my lips feeling dry. The lipstick is very creamy and is pigmented. It's actually very opaque that you don't need to wear lip liner anymore. But if you want to, there's also a lip liner with the same shade, Lumiere.

WHAT I LIKE:
  • non-drying
  • shade is very unique
  • glides and applies smoothly
  • pigmented
  • long wearing unless you eat
  • creamy formula even if it's matte
  • cruelty free brand!

WHAT I DON'T LIKE:
  • There's no official distributor of Colourpop in the Philippines yet. However other shops already carry the brand.
  • packaging may be tricky. Twist carefully so the tube won't scrape the product out.

Overall, ColourPop Lippie Stix in Lumiere has become one of favorite everyday lip shades. It brightens my face and it's a great day to night shade in my opinion. Best of all, it's very comfortable on the lips! :)
