Stretch Marks Treatment Continues

Today let me update you on my stretch marks status. I mentioned over and over again that I got a lot of stretchmarks due to my pregnancy. I know I haven’t really shown you but imagine how a brain looks like- that’s how my tummy looked like before and right after giving birth.
I have always had a stretchmark/scar prone skin, very unlucky. Although when you listen and read others comments, they say that it’s all hereditary. Looking at my mom, she doesn’t have the same problem as I have, so maybe it’s just me?!
I tried using different stretchmarks lotions and creams while I was pregnant. But after, I decided to try something different.
Bio-Oil
I heard about Bio-Oil online saying how effective it is in lightening strechmarks and preventing women from having any, so I simply had to try it.Although it was pretty expensive, it was almost P500 for a 60ml, I thought since you’d only need a little amount, this will last you a long time.

The Bio‑Oil formulation is a combination of plant extracts and vitamins suspended in an oil base. It contains the breakthrough ingredient PurCellin Oil™, which changes the formulation’s overall consistency, making it light and non-greasy. This ensures that the goodness contained in the vitamins and plant extracts is easily absorbed. Aside from stretch marks treatment, it also reduces appearance of scars, uneven skin tone, aging skin and dehydrated skin.

What I LIKE:
  • easily absorbed by the skin
  • even though it’s oil, it’s light weight
  • not sticky or greasy
  • my stretchmarks did lighten. I noticed it after just 3 weeks.

What I DON’T LIKE:
  • price is a bit steep
  • effectivity started slowing down after 2 month
Another product I’m using is Moringa-O2 Herbal Hair, Scalp and Skin Therapy Oil. Now this is not just a stretch marks treatment oil but it has other benefits as well. Moringa-O2’s Herbal Hair, Skin, Scalp and Therapy Oil contains Moringa (malunggay), olive and omega (sunflower) oils. They are natural cleansers, soothing and smoothening the skin with antiseptic, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that provides a healthier, gentler and skin-hair-scalp compatible product.

It’s fairly new in the market but for the price of P99.75 for a 30ml bottle, it’s definitely worth the try.
What I LIKE:
  • easily absorbed by the skin
  • moisturizing
  • light weight
  • I noticed that the stretch marks lightened after 1 1/2 months of regular use.
  • price is affordable
  • multi-use

What I DON’T LIKE:

  • I wish it worked faster.
My stretchmarks did lighten with the use of these oils, however it’s still there and very visible. I know that it will take years for them to be “light” and they will never really go away. As they said, battle scars. But I’m happy it’s improving it’s texture and it’s not as red anymore after using these oils.
How about you? Any stretch marks stories? What did you use? Do share from one soldier to another. 😉
