Omakase is Love, My Favorite Japanese Restaurant in the Metro

H introduced me to Omakase years back when we were still dating and I instantly fell in love with it! The food, the service, the ambiance was really good. Since then, I always say Omakase is Love! It simply IS! 🙂 I could be an Omakase endorser I swear! I will never get tired of eating there! Too bad they didn’t have a branch in Makati. But since I now live in the Hills and I’m always in Libis, it’s good news for me! :p

Here are our usuals:

Crunchy Tuna Sushi (P180)

This was the first time we tried this sushi. We normally get American Dream, but we decided to try something different. It was good. I liked that the outer layer is crunchy. I love chunky or crunchy food. H doesn’t eat raw meat, but he liked this sushi as well. There’s salmon and tuna inside, which is always a good combo for sushi! 🙂 Wish they had tamago inside too. Yumyum!

sushi sauce

I always always always always pair my sushi with Omakase’s special sushi sauce. I am in love with it! I think the biggest factor why I love Omakase so much is because of this creative sauce! I LOVE IT!

Chicken Teriyaki Donburi

My usual main course. This is normal actually. Nothing special about it, but since my favorite meat is chicken, I order this. Plus I like saucy food, hence, getting the teriyaki. 🙂

Seafood Dumpling

Another Omakase exclusive which again, I love love love! Beware though, this can make you “umay”, so better pair it with tea. But this is really good! I still pair this with the sushi sauce, although it’s already drizzled with it. The inside I think is just fish. And deep fried to perfection!

Pork Shogayaki

Please excuse my spelling if it’s incorrect. My husband usually orders this dish. It already comes with your choice of steamed or garlic rice. I think this is okay also. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Our favorite mess!

I would have to say Omakase really knows its sushis and makis! They’re best known for that! 🙂 You truly have to try it. It’s relatively cheaper than its competitors but the food is so filling and oh-so-heavenly! Omakase is love! ’nuff said!
