Feeling Goth, missing the 90s? Wear Katherine on your lips.
I talked about the Matte in Detail Liquid Lipsticks of Detail Makeover before and did a swatch video. But I wanted to talk about the first Matte in Detail liquid lipstick I acquired. It’s the shade D13 Katherine.
I got this as a gift from my sister and since I don’t have a lot of dark lippies, I got really excited. The Matte in Detail liquid lipsticks have different formulas, in my opinion. There are some shades that are patchy and some glide really smoothly.
This is truly long-wearing and even transfer-proof. There’s a sticky feeling and if you don’t exfoliate your lips, because it’s such a bold shade, it tends to stick to the dry patches of the lips. It is very pigmented, however, reapplying can be done to ensure that it’s even.
For the price, P250 a tube, it’s okay. I found it a little difficult to apply because you have to be fast at applying it since it dries really quickly and the thing is, this shade is quite patchy. I prefer the other shades to be honest. Simply because the other shades actually apply and glide easier than this. But I think exfoliating and moisturizing will help with this.
I don’t use it often just because I’m not comfortable with how patchy it looks. But I’ve used it a couple of times because this is one of my darkest lipsticks and well, when I feel goth, why not? Hehe! Also, I’m so happy with the fact that it’s really long wearing. And if you talk about matte lipsticks, this is truly matte. I was also told that this brand is cruelty free, so bravo.
