Before we go to the bolds, let me show you one of my most favorite lipstick collection from Maybelline New York, the Powder Mattes by Colorsensational.
Today, I'm so excited to share this post. This was our family's lovely staycation for my Dad's Birthday. Before moving forward, let me warn you that this is post heavy as I share photos of the suite and also the Pyrolympics that day. :)
Time to share my full review on L’Oreal Paris Infallible line. I’ve been using this line for months now and I gotta say, this has easily become my most favorite.
I got the Infallible 24hour Stay Fresh Foundation in 120 Vanilla, which is a tad lighter than my skin (because liquid foundations tend to get darker on me).
Coverage of this is really good. It’s very buildable and it promised to fight makeup meltdown.
I also have the Infallible Pro-Matte 16hour Powder in 100 Porcelain which promises matte finish, shine control for 16 hours.
The compact has a sponge and a mirror so touch ups are quick and easy.
The powder is really finely milled and it also provides decent coverage.
There’s also the Infallible Pro Spray and Set Makeup Extender Setting Spray.
This is an “after makeup” setting spray that will extend just-applied makeup and make it last longer.
I got 2 shades of the Infallible 10HRhr Lipsticks.
Rambling Rose
Forever Frappe
This is said to end your search for lip color that lasts from morning coffee to evening wine.

Before diving in to the full review, here’s my first impression on the line.
As you can probably tell, I was blown away by the coverage. It did oil up and I did get shiny here and there, however, for the most part, it was okay. My face color stayed in place, my undereyes were still concealed and coverage was still flawless. I didn’t think that the lipstick proved to be long lasting as it faded end of the day.
Full Review:
I have been reaching for the liquid and powder foundation duo almost every single time I have to wear makeup. I would normally put on primer before putting on my makeup as I feel it gives me a smoother canvas to work with. The Infallible foundation is impeccable. It’s really an amazing duo! It gives me flawless looking skin and there’s no cakeyness whatsoever. It does have a bit of weight, but I can still see my skin peeking through.
I’ve also used the lipsticks. Since I know that I would need to retouch, I use my old “tissue and powder” trick to extend the longevity. I also noticed that when I don’t eat very oily food, it doesn’t smudge easily.
After using the Makeup Extener Setting Spray, I noticed that it had this weird smell. It didn’t smell gross or anything, but it smelled different. I remember my sister telling me about this too, which is why she didn’t buy it. Since I was comparing it to my Urban Decay All Nighter Spray, I thought that UD was still far better; as I still get shiny even when I use the L’Oreal one.
Overall I trust this line. I use it even for very special occasions. I highly recommend it and has become my favorite drugstore foundation and powder! I actually just purchased the Pro-Matte makeup and can’t wait to do another first impression on it next time. 🙂

“Being a mother is learning about strengths you didn’t know you had… and dealing with fears you didn’t know existed.” – Linda Wooten
First of all, I want to greet all mothers a very Happy Mother’s Day. Today is a celebration of probably the most important woman, our mothers. I am so happy to have such a cool mom. All of my friends say that my mom is so young at heart, and she truly is. She has given me and my sisters the best training, that’s why I am who I am and I will be forever grateful. To my Mumsy, Happy Mother’s Day!
Becoming a mother has changed me so much. I always say that I found my purpose in life when I became a mother. I have become a better person when I became a mom. How? I became more productive. I learned time management. I learned how to become more patient. I became more nurturing and most of all, I learned about motherly love; that unconditional love everyone is talking about.
Motherhood is not always a walk in the park but seeing how my lovely daughter is growing up, just makes every single thing worthwhile. It’s cliche when they said that “it’s worth it, but it really is.”
You’ll never understand a mother’s love until you become a mother yourself.
Happy Mother’s Day to all mommas! We deserve to be treated like a queen this day. Haha! 🙂 But seriously speaking, hats off to all moms who are striving to give their children the very best. We are Superwomen!

Mother's Day is tomorrow and I know that a lot of you are having a hard time thinking of what to give your moms. Let me give you some good news from our dear friends at Nippon Esthetic.
I talked about the Matte in Detail Liquid Lipsticks of Detail Makeover before and did a swatch video. But I wanted to talk about the first Matte in Detail liquid lipstick I acquired. It's the shade D13 Katherine.
There's so many different brow products nowadays. If you look at one brand, they usually carry different kinds depending on what suits your preference. Today, I wanted to talk about the first kind of eyebrow product I worked with, powder. And I did a First Impression review on the Maybelline Fashion Brow 3D Contouring Palette.
To those who know me personally and who have gone to school with me, they'd know how much I love dancing. I've been dancing ever since I was a little girl. I remember dancing from kinder and my feet have not stopped moving ever since. I love dancing so much that I used to choreograph dances for the school, was part of the dance squad and I loved going to the gym because of aero classes.
Onto the last day of the cruise, actually the last whole day. This was Day 5 of our Superstar Virgo cruise. I was actually looking forward to this day because this was the only day allotted for the ship. High seas, is how it’s called. And I was anxious about the activities we were going to do. I felt there were still so many things to check out, however, unfortunately, we weren’t able to do much.
Right when we woke up, we already felt the ship moving really strong. It was difficult even getting out of bed. My grandma gave us Bonamine prior to our trip so we made sure to take some. We went down for breakfast and I could tell my husband was not feeling well at all. He ended up just eating cereal and he went back to the cabin right away and apprently, vomitted. As for Robyn and myself, we were better. I was also feeling nauseous but I could handle it. Robyn was okay the entire time.
After breakfast, we went back to our cabin and I saw that my husband was back in bed, sleeping. Robyn and I took a bath, which was so difficult because the ship was moving so much. We had to make sure we hold the hand rails at all times.
Lunch time came and it was a tad better. H forced himself to get out of bed and join us for lunch. After having our appetizer and soup, he threw up again. I noticed also that there weren’t a lot of people in the restaurants which was strange. I learned from the servers that a lot of people couldn’t get out of bed and a lot of passengers were seasick.
H went straight to bed while I tried to entertain Robyn as much as I could. We watched a show, hoping that I wouldn’t feel dizzy as much. After the show, we went back to the room and saw that H purchased new medicine. Apparently, he finished all the Bonamine (that was 1 pack) and had to buy more seasickness medication. He was really ill.
I decided to take a nap too because honestly, there wasn’t anything we could do to fight the nausea. It kinda reminded me of morning sickness actually.
Thankfully when the evening came, the waters became calmer, just in time for the Gala Night. It was what we were most excited about because we get to eat really good food and see the Captain and crew of the ship.
We had Western cuisine for the Gala Night:
After dinner, we just stayed in the lobby which was on deck 7 (middle of the ship) as we wait for the show. We were advised to stay on the center of the ship because it’s not moving as much. So if you’re scared that you might get seasick in any way, try to get a room on deck 8 mid-ship.
I honestly couldn’t blog that much during that day because I, too, was dizzy the entire day. It was such a bummer because I was looking forward to just relaxing that day. 🙁 We also got our passports and paid for the other dues that evening so that we don’t have to worry about them the next day when we disembark.
The next day was when we arrived in Manila. I had to wake up early because I had to bring out our luggages outside the room so they can pick them up before 7am. Around 7-8, we were already in Manila so we just had breakfast at the Mediterranean Buffet and disembarked.
The experience was really nice. It was a once in a lifetime thing and H and I have been talking about cruises for a long time. It was great that we got to experience it even once in our life. Are we cruising again? I’m afraid there’s a very low chance we’ll do it again. I don’t want to say “never” but I don’t think we will do it again anytime soon. It was a little traumatic, being seasick. We don’t get dizzy easily. We’ve traveled before, rode ships going to provinces, but it was really tough that day. H threw up so many times and he didn’t enjoy the day at all. He said he doesn’t think it’s worth that risk of feeling sick. I felt like we were lucky we got sick the last day. What if it was the first day? We wouldn’t have enjoyed the other days of the cruise. So yes, I don’t think it’s worth the risk. I would rather travel via plane. Nonetheless, with that said, it was still a nice experience. One for the books. Other than the High Seas day, everything was really good. I loved the shows so much, the food was okay too. And experiencing this as a family just made it a whole lot better! 🙂
