Full Review: Maybelline Dream Velvet Soft Matte Hydrating Foundation

I have made 2 videos so far of this product, the Maybelline Dream Velvet Soft Matte Hydrating Foundation; 3 if you're going to count the First Look/Unboxing video that I did. And well, no regrets. This foundation has quickly become a favorite.

Dream Velvet Soft Matte Hydrating Foundation is Maybelline's first ever gtdratubg natte foundation for 100% velvet-smooth perfected skin all day.

If you haven't watched my First Look video yet, here it is.

"There are foundations that leave skin dry, rough and too tight in skin when it's matte finish, which can be a total nightmare for girls and finding the perfect foundation can be such a hassle", according to Sandy Tiu, Senior Product Manager of Maybelline New York. "These struggles are precisely what the newest Dream Velvet Foundation targets."

First Impression:

 10:30am

 5:50pm

 10:00pm

Needless to say I was very impressed. I did get oily because I didn't retouch at all nor did I blot the entire day. However it's not something that I can't fix with a little primer. I liked the coverage which was light to medium but I personally liked how lightweight it felt from the moment I applied it until the time I removed it.

Full Review:

After trying it with a primer, I learned that it worked even more awesome! My shade changed though because when I did the first impression, it was just a few weeks after getting back from our Tokyo trip and I got quite dark from that trip. After reverting back to my true shade, I realized that Nude was a better match for me. It's very soft on the skin and application was easy as well. It glided seamlessly just like before.

Coverage is really nice. It gave me good coverage perfect for what I need, yet it was so lightweight. I think that's my most favorite part about this product.

I'm happy that they have 5 shades to choose from:

Honey, Natural Beige, Pure Beige, Sandy Beige and Nude

Although I learned that the color selection might not be enough and some are in between shades, so you may need to combine shades indeed. Oh I think I haven't mentioned the price tag yet. It's only P499! Definitely a bang for your buck.

I am in love with this foundation and I recommend it for people who have similar skin type as myself and who are looking for an affordable yet superb foundation.
