L'Oreal Brow Artist Genius Kit Review

Brows on fleek, that's a phrase you'll hear ever so often nowadays. And I think that 2015 was the year of the brows. You can see it everywhere, women are sporting thicker, fuller but well defined brows. I'm sure you already know how important brows are. It's what frames your face and honestly, I know a lot of people who leave their houses with just eyebrow makeup and they look amazing!

Last year, I was introduced to my current favorite eyebrow product which is the L'Oreal Brow Artist Genius Kit. It was love at first swipe! Actually I received this from an event but kept it and never really used it until my aunt told me that she bought one and that it's something worth trying. Curious and intrigued, I whipped it out, gave it a go and never looked back!

The product consists of a wax and a powder. It also has small brushes that I don't really care for.  It comes in 01 Medium To Dark and 02 Light To Medium.

The wax is really useful. I have some stubborn brow hair that irritates me so using the wax helps me tame those hair. It's also not very sticky as compared to other wax I've tried and not crumbly either. For me, it's the perfect texture for layering with the powder.

The powder is pigmented and it's creamy not chalky, so fall outs are pretty rare. I have tried using the powder alone without the wax and it works as well. It still adheres to the brows well. (Although personally, I like the color better when these 2 are mixed.)

The combination of the wax and the powder gives me natural looking brows that last the whole day. I have used it multiple times, from normal/regular days to very important events.

I LIKE:
  • gives me such natural nlooking brows
  • color is perfection. No need to alter with eyebrow gel/mascara.
  • wax keeps my brows tamed
  • last the whole day
  • compact, very travel friendly
  • affordable at only P400.00
  • easily accessible, available at any L'Oreal counter
I DON'T LIKE:
  • brushes are so tiny. It will take me an hour to finish doing my brows if I use it.
  • no tweezers with the compact.
Here are some photos of me wearing the L'Oreal Brow Artist Genius Kit:

I have been on an eyebrow pencil craze the past year but this product rekindled my love for eyebrow powder products. For me, this is a good beginner product. Not only does it have both wax and powder to ensure long lasting makeup, it's also easy to use too. I have received so many compliments when I wear this so needless to say, I highly recommend it.
