Cream Silk Transformations: Spotlight on the #ModernFilipina

One of the things people remember me by aside from my height and how young I look, is my hair. I'm a lucky girl and I feel blessed because I have a pretty manageable hair. I probably need to thank my mom and dad for it. All I really have to do is maintain my locks and that's where good quality hair care comes in.

Last January 23, Cream Silk, the Philippines' number 1 hair care brand, launched its newest campaign: Cream Silk Transformations: Spotlight on the #ModernFilipina

“Gone are the days of the Maria Clara, as women are slowly climbing up the ranks and embracing bigger and better roles for themselves. Today, the modern Filipina has become both a spotlight and a beacon,” shared Gina Lorenzana, Unilever’s Vice President for Personal Care.“She has evolved into a fearless and trailblazing individual determined to realize her dreams and make a positive mark in the world.”

I went to the event not knowing what to expect and when I reached the venue, I gotta admit I was quite overwhelmed.

Cream Silk Transformations: Spotlight on the Modern Filipina was a whole day event that celebrated women, who have constantly challenged and transformed themselves. Cream Silk collaborated with the country’s top magazines– Cosmopolitan, Meg, MEGA, Metro, Preview and Yes! – to share and empower the attendees for their own transformation from good to great!

There were different booths and the magazines also hosted workshops and talks. There were even booths wherein the guests were treated to hair makeovers and even their own photoshoots.

 That ring light though!

I was happy to see fellow beauty bloggers shwoing off their smooth and shiny hair!

As we were waiting for the grand finale, I was able to capture some photos of Rhiann Ramos who was the host for the evening.

Unfortunately, because I had to attend a family party that evening, I wasn't able to witness the grand reveal anymore where Cream Silk's newest endorsers, Nadine Lustre, Rachelle Ann Go, Coleen Garcia, Julie Anne San Jose and Yassi Pressman joined Cream Silk endorser, Heart Evangelista for the very first live cover shoot as stylists and photographers worked their magic.

Best of all, Miss Universe, Pia Wurtzbach also came and it was actually her very 1st public appearance in Manila since winning the Miss Universe title.

Pia epitomizes the most inspiring transformation of the Modern Filipina yet,set to conquer the universe! With a beauty that inspires, determined to realize her dreams, she has come back to make her positive mark in the world, taking her well deserved walk at Cream Silk’s event.

This 2016, let's aim to transform ourselves to be better. Share your own experience on social media by posting “One of my #CreamSilkTranformations in 2016 is to___________.”
