I #FoundMyTrueMatch !

Last Thursday was pretty eventful for me. I went to the L'Oreal True Match event (which is what this post is all about), received my new cellphone and then was involved in a car accident (more on that on my vlogs. But just to clear things, we're okay.). I ended up going to bed around 9:30pm. My entire family was beat. Even Robyn who's a night owl, slept really early.

Anyways, onto the event. Most of the time, I go for a no makeup look. I simply feel that it's what works best on me and what makes me look fresher and younger looking. I always get asked about it too. To summarize my answer, it all boils down to having a flawless base or skin. Of course skin care is very important but what you put after that also counts. Here's where foundations, concealers and the like come in.

Commended as the “new natural” by beauty enthusiasts from the world over, the “no makeup” look is definitely the hottest beauty trend worn by Hollywood celebrities, top models on and off the runways, and on magazine covers. For Filipinas, the very foundation of perfecting this look lies in finding the perfect match for their skin tone which has been a perpetual challenge for most. As effortless the name “no makeup” may sound, achieving this look is not the easiest makeup task to accomplish.

I went to Farmacy to find my true match. See, finding the right shade of foundation is so important to make everything blend together smoothly. And it's the key for that perfect no makeup look. There were several stations arranged for us and in each station, we got to learn about the new products from L’Oréal Makeup Designer/Paris.

 True Match Blur Cream
P400.00

Say hello to flawless skin in seconds, with the new True Match Blur Cream from L’Oreal Makeup Designer/ Paris. This lightweight, non-greasy skin primer has concentrated light reflectors that instantly blur away pores and fine lines for smoother, more even-looking skin – the perfect base for foundation.

I own the Base Magique and I love how silky the texture is and how it covers visible pores. I was told that this is similar to that and in fact is an improved version of Base Magique. It is silicon based and it so light! It has a tint to it as compared to Base Magique, however, it blends to the skin color after rubbing it on the skin. It is said to cover pores and make the makeup last longer.

Next I was off to board this beautiful black fleet as it is Station 2!

True Match Liquid Foundation
P600.00

The new True Match contains 5 unique micro-pigments that specifically match Asian skin tones and undertones. Also, its micro-fine pigments hide imperfections with medium, buildable coverage, while protecting against harmful UVA and UVB rays with SPF 16/PA++. All this in a super-blendable, lightweight formula for the most flawless, natural-looking skin.

The new and improved True Match perfectly matches skin tone and texture at a micro-level, so that every woman can have her own shade, her one True Match. They have 15 different shades. Yes, 15! So you should find your one true match!

In this makeup chair, we swatched G3 and G4 on my jaw. I was told that G3 is my shade.

Here are the swatches of some of the liquid foundies:

Next back to Farmacy for Station 3:

 True Match Crayon Concealer
P500.00

Conceal them all, big to small with the new True Match Crayon Concealer from L’Oreal Makeup Designer/ Paris. This easy-to-use concealer offers customizable coverage from the tiniest of blemishes to larger areas of imperfections. The tip of the crayon allows for precise application, while the side of the crayon can easily conceal a larger area of skin. The innovative formula provides full coverage that blends easily and won’t look cakey. Choose from 6 natural shades in that match a range of skin tones and undertones.

I was surprised when they said there were 6 shades to choose from. I think this is the biggest concealer range I have ever seen and heard of. So whether you're fair, mestiza, morena, you should be able to find your shade.

I was asked what shade I wanted and since I already have a number of concealers in my stash. I decided on getting a dark shade for contouring instead.

The last station was all about brows:

I am looking forward to roadtesting these out! I swear!!!

 Brow Artist Genius Kit
P400.00

There are 2 shades to choose from, light and medium.
The star of the collection is the Brow Artist Genius Kit: an all-in-one brow kit to define, shape, and style your brows like a pro.
“The perfect kit to create all shapes of brows… wax, powder, angled brush, and brow brush: I can design all the brows I want, from the most natural to the boldest look,” says Karim Rahman, L’Oréal Paris Global Makeup Designer.

Create your made-to-measure eyebrows in 3 easy steps: with the angled brush, SHAPE brows with the pigmented waterproof wax that adapts to your natural brow color and holds the brow shape for 12 hours. Then, still with the angled brush, SHADE the brows with the powder that gives natural buildable color. Lastly, STYLE the brows with the spooled brush that grooms hairs into shape.

 Brow Artist Designer Pro
 P500.00

L’Oréal Makeup Designer/Paris introduces Brow Artist Designer Pro, a 3-in-1 pencil that allows you to shape, shade, and style your brows with ease. It features 3 products in one slim tube: a crayon pencil, a brow powder, and a brow brush. Experience the art of brows in 3 easy steps: SHAPE the brows by lining in the arch with the crayon tip, SHADE by filling with the powder, and STYLE into place with the brow brush.

So yes this has a pencil end, powder end and it comes with a spoolie! It's an all in one product so there's really no need to bring any other tool. (Well maybe just a mirror)

Other than these products, there were other True Match products displayed. Which ones do you already own?

All the bloggers were eager and happily chatting. Here are my tablemates as we ate the yummy food of Farmacy and shared never ending kwentuhans!

 Jes, Donna, Rowena and Julia

Which ones do you want me to do a review on first? Let me know! :)
