Hi everyone! My week started really happily and I’m loving what April is all about. :) I hope you’re all having the same good fortune as I am.

Honestly, I have so many lip products to review. I’ve done a huge haul on them recently but I’ll do those next time. For now, I want to focus on another favorite of mine, spas! ;)

My husband just celebrated his birthday early this month and we decided to go and visit our favorite spa place- Family Health Spa.

I’ve actually talked about them before since we have bee visiting this place for a long time. Moreover, they’ve already undergone some renovations and they now offer more services!

Reception area

All clients get to choose a glass of juice, tea or coffee

We decided to get Foot & Back massage which is what we normally get but I chose to stay in the “bed” because I wanted to lie down since I feel that it’s more relaxing. Price is around P600, I forgot to take note of it. :(

The beds were soooo comfortable and the rooms smell really clean. It’s such an important factor when choosing a spa. And Family Health Spa is truly a clean place.

What I love most about the bed? The hole for the face. It’s the perfect size. I have gone to so many spas and the holes are usually too small. Family’s was perfect and it made me more relaxed because my head was supported properly.

The rooms are actually a big common room but they are divided with curtains.

They have a drawer so you can store your things inside.

Since we chose beds instead of lazy boys, H was worried how the therapists will massage the feet. Apparently Family already has their strategy on that. We were asked to lie near the edge of the bed first while the feet is being soaked and after, we would just move upwards so the therapists can do the massage while we’re lying in our beds.

I asked to first get my back massage before foot massage because I wanted to save the best for last. Hehe! The back massage was so good. I honestly couldn’t help but doze off. As usual I asked to use oil for the massage. The hole for the face helped me relax even more because I knew where exactly I’ll put my face in. Haha! The back massage was 30 minutes long. After which, I was asked to lie on my back for my foot massage.

For the foot massage, Family Health Spa uses long strokes in massaging the feet. And since I’ve already mentioned that Family is my favorite spa  and I love foot massages so much, you’re sure that their foot massage is truly amazing! :) The therapists use their hands and bamboo/wooden sticks to massage and release tension from the feet. The foot massage lasts for an hour. And after, I’m solved. I normally sleep during the whole process and I was surprised that this time, H slept through it too. He usually never sleeps during foot massage because he finds it too hard. But this time was different. I guess his therapist found his perfect pressure points.

After our session, we napped a little longer and I decided to take more photos to show you.
  Corridor

This is the other room for foot massages.

In this room, you get to watch some tv.

Very comfy too!

After the massage, my back felt less tense, my feet more functional- haha!, my head so much better. I asked H how his massage was too and he said that it was just what he needed.

Honestly, I still haven’t found another spa that’s as clean and as good as Family Health Spa (except for Happy Wealthy Spa- I like their foot massage too). I haven't tried using their wet floor though. But anyways, they’re reasonably priced, plus now that they have these perfect beds, I guess we’ll be going there more often just like before. :)

What’s your favorite spa? Share it with me! I’d love to try more. :)
One thing quite important when doing makeup is grooming the eyebrows. It’s important because it helps frame the face better. Shaping, for me, is preparing the entire face for makeup. I think that with groomed brows, the makeup looks more complete. And with clean and decent looking brows, one looks all the more beautiful and polished.

I personally shape my brows every now and then. I either pluck, shave or have it threaded. And when I go out, I always groom it with eyebrow powder and set it with gel.

Here’s a sample to show you what I mean. I shaped and designed my sister’s eyebrows. She is now working and would like to look more professional. And since her eyebrows are a mess and bushy, it hindered her from looking more polished.

Look at how her grooms look like. All messy.

Groomed. This is way better! Don’t you think?

Here is the final product after fixing both eyebrows.

Bare face, only groomed brows.

What do you think? For me, I personally think she looks better with shaped and groomed brows. I’m sure that once she’s made up, she’d look all the more sophisticated.

Hope this helps guys! :)
Before anything else, can I just share? It’s hubby’s birthday tomorrow and I am so excited!!!! We don’t have anything special planned though. But just to spend a day with him- out on a date, really excites me! We haven’t been going out on quality dates lately because of work and I told me today that tomorrow is a no work day for us so we can celebrate his birthday and spend quality time with each other. 🙂
With that said, last Thursday, March 31, I met up with fellow beauty bloggers from Manila at Greenhills. Thanks to Michelle and Ann for organizing the meet up.) Like what they said, the more the merrier!
The meeting place was Promenade in Greenhills at 6pm, however, I did not realize it would be traffic in Ortigas Ave. So I got stuck in traffic but luckily, I did not have a hard time finding a parking space.
Once I got to the place, it was around 6:30 already (fail!) and they have already chosen Gerry’s Grill to be our chika and dinner place. I was almost the last one to arrive, but Ann was even later. Haha! Happily, we were able to be efficient in discussing and sharing our stories for the 2 happy hours we spent together.
Say and Sab
I actually wasn’t able to take photos that much because I was busy talking (as usual) and getting to know the girls. I learned that I was the eldest amongst them. Darn I feel so old. Haha! And that we come from different parts of the country. It’s so refreshing and exciting to know that we all have a number of things in common; i.e. blogging, pets, business and of course beauty. :p
Now let me share some more tidbits I learned about these beauties!
Michelle and Hazel
Michelle, who was the first that I actually met online since she visits my blog pretty frequently, was actually older than what I thought her age was. I thought that she was 14 yrs old. Haha! But look at her? Doesn’t she look young? She’s super cute. And I love her teeny tiny cute voice but she’s got a big attitude. Maybe she gets it from her highschool. Haha! Right Michelle?
Hazel has just graduated this year. Congrats girlie! 🙂 She graduated in DLSU just like me and she’s currently looking at job offers. Of course being the eldest of the group I gave her some tips and advises when it comes to job and work. While talking to her, she’s so prim and proper. She reminds me of a true Dalagang Pilipina.
Hazel and Ann
Ann has her own business with her boyfriend. Hazel and my eyes lit up when Ann said that she doesn’t have hectic deadlines and she could just work whenever. Well of course, in business, there are problems as well but overall, I love Ann’s work! Plus she graduated BS Math and minor in IT. What a girl!!!! 😉
Andee, Say and Sab
I learned that Andee and Sab are sisters. Apparently, Sab has already “spilled the beans” about them in her Spilling the Beans video, however, for some reason, I could not open her video. 🙁 So I learned about the sisterly love that evening.
Andee is soooo cute and funny. She’s so witty. I have watched her videos and I tell you, she is so articulate, I want to be like her! But since I’m not, I don’t see myself doing any vlogs soon. Haha! But I love this girl. She is superb!
Say was one of the reasons why I was so excited to meet this group of beauties. I have been visiting her blog and youtube channel for months now and found her so cute and entertaining.  Because of the meetup, I learned so many things that we have in common. Like she also has 8 dogs at home just like me, that she is an O.C. just like me. She even has a scientific calculator in her bag which was actually convenient towards the end of the evening.
Sab, I can’t even start to describe her. She is full of energy, full of life!!!  She’s just like me multiplied by 5! That’s how energetic she is. She exudes so much life and positivism. The evening didn’t get dull because of her. She’s super funny!

It was so great meeting these people who I visit and follow on a daily basis. I don’t usually comment on blog posts because I’m kinda lazy but I do visit and read each post!
