JML WetStraight Pro

After having a really bad experience with my sister's curling iron, I knew I had to buy a better one! Of course, I will not risk the hair of my clients and even my own hair to some cheap-o irons. I wanted to buy an iron that can be used for straightening and curling.

As I stroll the mall, I always see this brand being demonstrated in Watson's. I didn't know about the brand, so I canvassed other brands. However, after much consideration, after looking and trying different irons for about 2 weeks, I decided to purchase the one I felt was best.

Introducing JML WetStraight Pro. (I actually also went online and read reviews about this brand and another brand I was considering, -e-lo-.)

Here is the back side. You can see the tag price too. I got this baby for P2,399.00.

It's dual purpose, it can be used for straightening and curling. What's the best part? You can use it with towel dried hair. And since I'm a makeup artist who's on the go, I need something that works fast as I work fast. So I need not dry the hair of my clients before using this.

It says here that the plates become very hot quickly, and indeed it does. You see the holes? It's where the steam goes off. You can even hear a little sound when you use it on your damp hair.

I love the fact that you can adjust the temperature. It goes upto 220! But I think 180-200 is fine.

This iron has titanium plates, unlike the usual metal or ceramic plates. I was told that titanium plates are better, since it works faster, and it does not break unlike ceramic ones. Remember -e-lo-? It had ceramic plates.

Here's a sample. I'm sorry I was too lazy to take better photos. :)

This is my hair. I have straight hair. Sorry I didn't even comb it! :p

Since I already have straight hair, I wanted to try and put volume. So I used the WetStraight Pro for curling.

I'm not good at doing my own hair, hehe! :)

Thoughts on the product: I have yet to use this and put hair spray on. But I asked the saleslady to do my hair and it stayed put. She also told me that the curls (since I asked her to curl my hair) will stay for about 3-4 hours, which was more REALISTIC than others saying it will last the whole day. The fact that my hair is so straight that usually the curls straighten for about 30 minutes, it just proves that this product is holding to its promise.

I'll probably do another review on this and showcase my work. I'm really really not good at doing my hair, so I don't think I gave justice. It's harder to do my own than to do other's since I can't really see what I'm doing most especially the back side. Haha! :) I'll post new photos soon.
