Subic Bay Venezia Hotel Review
One of my most favorite things in the world is traveling. I haven’t done much traveling in the past when I was younger so I really want to catch up. But you know how it is, life gets in the way. Haha! One of our most recent trips as a family was to Subic. We usually go to Subic for some shopping. Duty Frees and imported stuff hello!
On our recent trip, I decided to book a hotel we’ve stayed in many times years ago. We’ve stayed in Subic Bay Venezia Hotel maybe 3 or 4 times in the past but haven’t for a while since I wanted to check out other hotels in the area as well.
I reserved a Superior Room. Here are the details:

I have to admit I was disappointed when I walked in the room. I guess I expected it to be as clean and neat looking as before. But when we saw the room, it was so evident that Subic Bay Venezia Hotel wasn’t able to maintain the look of the hotel. The room was so dark. The furniture looked like they were 1000 years old. We didn’t dare open cabinets or drawers anymore. The bathroom looked old and outdated. The beds, don’t get me started. They were so creaky and so low. Felt like they haven’t changed the mattress since they opened.
Don’t get me wrong, I know that may have wanted to keep the hotel looking classic and Renaissance like. However, the establishment missed the mark and wasn’t able to preserve the beauty of the hotel. Even their breakfast buffet was a disappointment. You can tell they just reheated the food the day before. 🙁
I was so sad that the management let the hotel go. As I mentioned, we stayed at this hotel many times before and the reason why we kept going back is because we thought that even though it was a budget hotel, it was still very decent. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case now.
Our consolation? Robyn still enjoyed our stay and we still enjoyed our vacation. One of the reasons why we stay at hotels that aren’t that expensive is because we’re out most of the time anyway. We really just sleep when we get back and that’s it. Anyways, I’m still hoping that Subic Bay Venezia Hotel improves their amenities and rooms.
If you have other suggested hotels in the area, do let me know as we always go back to Subic ever so often. 🙂
