If you have been a follower of mine for quite some time, you would know that I serve very simple food during breakfast for my family. 4 years ago, when my husband and I moved to our very first place together, we had no helper. It was literally just us two. And given that I had no formal experience at cooking and preparing meals, other than the occasional dishes I whip out while I was still single; thinking of breakfast food left me with eggs, bacon, corned beef or sausages. Lucky for me, H is a very simple man when it comes to his breakfast. In fact, he can eat the same breakfast food every single day of his life.
A year later, after giving birth, time has become very valuable. Having no helper, no nanny to take care of my Robyn, it was all just me. We would usually wake up at aroung 9ish so that meant brunch. I honestly didn’t had time to prepare lunch so it was usually just brunch. What was the meal I chose? Oatmeal. Yes, I learned how to eat oatmeal and that was basically our breakfast most of the time.
My daughter grew up with oatmeal, so even upto this day, we still have oatmeals for breakfast. It’s something that I was very happy with because oatmeal is rich in fiber, Vitamin B and minerals. It helps keep the digestive system clean and happy (trust me, I saw and experienced the difference), while meeting all thr nutritional goals on a daily basis. It’s also a good source of protein and carbohydrates that will give energy.
