Review: L.A. Colors Mineral Blush in After Glow

One of the blushes that I used a lot during summer was my L.A. Colors Mineral Blush in After Glow. It’s a very flattering shade and it also blends really well with the skin. And during summer, I usually prefer pink and coral blushes than wine, berry or plummy shades. I just feel like these shades are the perfect colors for summer and may give you that “sunkissed” look.

Discover fabulous mineral cheek color. Mineral blush gives you a beautiful, healthy tone that looks natural. Create a soft, radiant glow that’s ideal for all skin types. An ultra-lightweight, velvety formula ensures smooth, effortless application and is long-wearing for true all day color. Includes compact case with mirror & brush applicator.

The shade After Glow has a bit of shimmers and is a beautiful dusty peach/pink shade. It gives a beautiful bronze to the skin and is quite pigmented too.
First of all, let’s talk packaging. It comes in a plastic case. Unfortunately, the label/name rubs off pretty easily. However, I do like that since it has a clear cover/lid, you can see the shade right away (just like that of MAC). I also like that even though it’s made of plastic, it’s pretty sturdy. I’ve accidentally dropped this a couple of times (while we were moving houses), but it’s still in good condition and in fact, the lock is still good. It also has a mirror and brush at the bottom compartment. I don’t really use the brush because I still prefer using my own but I do use the good size mirror.
I love how this applies too because it’s smooth and pretty pigmented. So I usually tap my blush brush first before applying it on my cheeks. And oh, this stays on like crazy! It’s amazing. It’s why I have been using it almost the entire summer. Even though I sweat, it stills stays put.
What I LIKE:
  • great formula, silky smooth
  • looks quite natural on the face
  • a little goes a long way. (Photo below is just 1 swipe.)
  • packaging is a no-fuss packaging
  • comes with a good size mirror
  • long wearing, stays on a long time even after sweating
  • the bronzey glow looks amazing on almost all skin tones!
  • doesn’t look oily, greasy and shiny on the face, perfect amount of glow

What I DON’T LIKE:
  • label/name rubs off quite easily. So if you’re particular about it, this may be something to consider.

Here I am wearing L.A. Colors Mineral Blush in After Glow. I’m going to show some photos where I have very natural makeup on and even a night time look.

  • It looks beautiful indeed! Aw man. I picked this up and returned it for several times already. For the price it's so tempting but every time I see the parabens I felt I had to pass this. I swatched all of the shades they're all beautiful but this shade is the most natural 😀 Thanks for this post now I might really get one XD
