I haven’t vlogged in a while simply because I have been quite preoccupied with everything on my plate. I actually was able to take videos but just haven’t had time to edit them yet. So keep subscribed ok?

Hey guys! We just got back from our Mother’s Day trip to Subic. If you follow me at Instagram (@yellowyum), I actually posted a couple of photos from the trip. This week, we’ll be going out of town once more. But I wanted to post this tutorial here on my blog first; if any of you would like to try it out. 🙂
This is my Summer/Spring Makeup Look! I played with a few colors and lots of shimmer. It’s very wearable, fun and pretty.
For summer, I rarely wear liquid or cream foundation just because I’m afraid it will melt because of the heat. Plus I don’t like the feeling when I break a sweat. I would normally go for powder foundation or BB cream if I need a little bit more coverage.
What do you think? Share with me your favorite makeup look! 🙂

First of all, I suck at titles for my FOTDs. Haha! ;p Anyways, I wanted to share another FOTD with you. I know I haven’t been playing around with colors that much anymore (must be the age) but do stay tuned because I just recorded a summer makeup look! Just have to edit that and upload. For now though, I played with my ItsJudyTime palette and as you know the only colored eyeshadows in the palette are royal blue and purple, hence the look! 🙂

Since it's almost Mother's Day. Let me do a YellowMum post for a change. :) When it comes to Robyn, I'm quite particular about the products that I use on her. Simply because we've had problems with her skin back when she was 3 weeks old. Although her skin has definitely improved and I wouldn't really categorize her as sensitive.
During my Birthday Weekend last November 22-23, my family decided to stay at Marco Polo Manila overnight and it was the first time that we had a staycation with Robyn. Since we were there, I decided to take Robyn for a swim. It was also the first time that we went swimming as a family. This was also the perfect time to use her new Mustela Very High Protection Sun Lotion.
Developed following major new advances in sun protection for children, Very High Protection Sun Lotion from Mustela has been specially designed to protect the delicate skin of babies and children from dangerous solar radiation, right from birth.
Enriched with Avocado Perseose, a patented natural ingredient which protects the cell stock of babies' and children's skin, this product, which has been specially designed for use on the face, provides improved cellular protection, preserving the skin's natural defences and preventing the cells from getting damaged.
This product has been formulated using a protection system that provides an optimum efficacy/tolerance ratio. Specially designed for the face and body, it contains no organic filters known to be allergenic (octocrylenes, cinnamates, etc.), is free from all fragrance and alcohol and guarantees high protection on all skin types included atopic skins and sun intolerant skins.
The first time that I used this was when we went for a swim on my birthday and then I used it when we went to Baguio last January and now that it's summer, putting on sunscreen is a must. I would usually put sunscreen on her face and I alternate this with Belo SunExpert Ultragentle Sheer Spray. Although I usually use this for the face and the Belo spray for her body.
What I LIKE:
light weight
comes in a pump tube
protect against harmful UVA and UVB rays
perfect consistency for cream, it's not runny nor is it heavy thick
no stinging effect on Robyn even if it goes to her eyes
easy to apply
smells just like any other Mustela product
What I DON'T LIKE:
a little pricey
For me personally, I am happy with this product. Robyn has never had any problems or irritations with this and I like that it's not as sticky as the usual sunscreens. I only apply a small amount and spread it evenly so that it dries faster. Do I recommend it? Yes I do. It may be a little expensive but it's hypo-allergenic and it's 100% organo-mineral sunscreen with naturally-derived TiO2 and free of nanoparticles or in other words, the ingredients used make up for the price. But if you are on a tight budget, I think you find other alternatives for this product. So don't sweat it. ;)
What is your favorite Mustela product? I also hear so many great things about the Vitamin Barrier Cream! :)

Eyeliners and mascaras are usually the hardest to remove in terms of eye makeup. Those waterproof ones can be a pain in the a%s to remove that sometimes ordinary cleansers aren't enough. So I always use a separate eye makeup remover for my eye makeup. These makeup removers are usually milder to be used on the delicate area such as the eye but tough enough to remove waterproof makeup.
A powerful oil-free makeup remover that sweeps away the most tenacious eye makeup and mascara without harming delicate skin with Sea Mineral Complex.
One of my most recent finds is H2O+ Aqualibrium Dual Action Eye Makeup Remover. I have been using a very-hard-to-remove-mascara the past couple of months that my current eye makeup remover just isn't enough. After looking at my stash, I found a sample size that I received from Sample Room.
Benefits:
Gentle ingredients help soothe delicate tissue around the eye area as impurities are swept away
Pure water penetrates the surface layers of the skin to nourish and plump, so eyes feel and appear refreshed and rejuvenated
Sea Mineral Complex, a scientifically advanced delivery system ensures vitamins and other vital nutrients are rapidly absorbed at the cellular level
What I LIKE:
removes stubborn makeup
very mild
no strong scent
no panda eyes!
very easy to use
little amount is enough
What I DISLIKE:
a little pricey at P1330 for 120ml
Here's a little demo:
Using my very-hard-to-remove mascara
(Please excuse my oily face. It's been a long day.)
I just shook the bottle and put a few drops on my cleansing wipe.
left- one swipe
right- untouched
left- 2 swipes
right- untouched
Here is a closer view:
This has become my favorite eye makeup remover! It takes me half the time to remove my eye makeup compared to my previous eye makeup removers. Also, no panda eyes! :) Just don't forget to shake well before putting a few drops on cotton pad.
Overall, this is a must have for anybody who wears eye makeup on a regular basis! It makes removing your makeup a breeze! :D
