I was invited to the launch of L'Oreal's newest mascara, Miss Manga by False Lash. I was looking forward to the event because of the really cute logo and the promise of instant doll like lashes!
Upon entering White Space in Makati, I sae how cute the doll house is! They have a makeup station, a counter for L'Oreal products, workshop area and even a photo booth. I was running late and also had to leave early so I wasn't able to get my makeup done anymore. :/
When the program started, I was surprised to see a very familiar face. The host was Janeena! She and I go way back and she even modeled for ShopSui. So happy to see her and look at how cute she looks! So kawaii!
One of the beauty aspirations of Filipina women is to achieve the perfect doll look, the beauty trend seen on celebrities and influencers from Korea and Japan. This fresh, young, and natural look consists of flawless porcelain skin, flushed pink lips, and most importantly, lively open eyes with long, curled lashes.
As you can see in the photo below, Caucasian and Asian lashes are different! Caucasian women are usually born with long, naturally curved lashes, while majority of us here in Asia, have straight, downward-pointing lashes. This means we actually need a different product to achieve those long luscious and curled lashes just like our Caucasian counterpart.
From the world leader in beauty, L’Oréal Makeup Designer/Paris, meet the new best friend of Asian lashes – Miss Manga mascara by False Lash.
“L’Oréal Makeup Designer/Paris recognizes the everyday struggle of Asian women in combating short, straight, downward-pointed lashes,” shares Trisha Chua, Group Product Manager of L’Oréal Makeup Designer/Paris. “That is why we are proud to introduce Miss Manga by False Lash, our newest mascara that is tailor-made to meet the needs of Asian lashes – delivering 10x more volume and 2x curl in just one application.”
The secret behind Miss Manga is its patented conic arched brush. This curved brush with an extra thin tip easily catches even the shortest lashes and bottom lashes, curling them from the root. Also, its Asia-specific formula delivers a perfect curl hold that is 24-hour long-lasting and 12-hour sweat proof. The result? The perfect doll lash look – lively open eyes with lashes that curl up to frame the eyes like never before.

To finish of her look, they also used the new products, Mat Magique BB Veil Pressed Powder and Color Riche Glossy Balm for that baby doll look.

But wait there's more. Before letting us go, there was a surprise waiting for us and for every Filipina who loves L'Oreal.
This coming month of May is all about us because L'Oreal knows every Filipina is worth it!
I also saw Miss Manga herself! Although I wasn't able to have a photo taken with her anymore because I had to leave early.
Look at how adorable their kit is! :)
Looking forward to using this and having instant doll lashes! :D The new Miss Manga mascara by False Lash will be available in L’Oréal Paris counters nationwide starting May 1, 2015 for Php599, but will be sold at an introductory price of Php500.
