YELLOWMUM: Hello 16 Months!

It’s 7am and I have been up since 5am. Robyn was having a little bit of trouble sleeping and after putting her back to bed, I found myself having trouble sleeping as well. So I had 2 options. Lay in bed until I fall asleep or use this time to blog. You may have noticed I haven’t been actively blogging lately. I do apologize and believe me, I miss it a lot. I miss just having a little bit of peace and quiet and just write away. But nowadays, it’s just been so hectic. :/
Robyn’s 16 months now. How time has flown by. In 2 months, she’ll be 1 1/2 years old and later on before we know it, she’ll be 2. I am grateful everyday that I have her. She is the best thing in my life, well, my husband is as well. Hihi! πŸ™‚ But seriously, she has grown into this amazing, brave, quirky toddler.

She has become more active now. She started walking with her push toy around 11 months old and on her 14th month, she was already walking by herself. I knew I kept saying I couldn’t wait for her to start walking; but man, it’s so tiring and exhausting chasing her here and there. She’s so active and she just wants to walk all day everyday. And of course, I have to be there to follow her and run after her all the time.
The best part is when she extends her hand, as if asking for my hand. She holds me as we walk together side by side. Best feeling ever.

She’s also become more friendly now. She’s not as timid and shy as before. Obviously, she still needs a little bit of warming up especially to people she’s not familiar with and places she hasn’t been to yet. But her improvement is quite amazing as compared to how she was 4 months ago.

Nowadays, she has so many kalokohans. I think she got it from her father. πŸ˜‰ She is such a joker, she’s so quirky and she’s so funny. Did I mention how smart she is? She observes how we do things, then after a minute, she does the same thing too. I even caught her trying out my shoes. Haha!

This was one of her kalokohans. We have a step ladder at home and she knows she’s not allowed to climb it. As I was busy washing dishes, she was busy riding the step ladder. Funny girl! I don’t even know where she got the idea. We never taught her nor did we “ride” the ladder ourselves. Haha!

She’s my number 1 priority and my whole day is just all about her. It’s gotten to a point where I can’t really do anything for myself other than the basics, take a bath and eat. It was our idea to not have a yaya nor a maid. And I don’t regret anything. I see how she’s blossoming, all her funny antics. I know what we teach her and I think she’s this brave and strong because we raise her that way. Moreover, since we live in a small home, it wasn’t practical to have a maid. I just felt like it would add more stress to me and I will need to constantly check on everything. However, it gets exhausting since she has become a handful. Plus I miss doing things for myself too, like blogging or putting on even just putting on lavish makeup. Nevertheless, I’m still happy. I do need to make a few adjustments here and there but everything’s worth it when I see her smile or when she hugs and kisses me for no reason. And when people say how good she is. Just makes me so proud.

I know I will cherish these moments forever. I sometimes talk to her and tell her to remember this when she’s older. I know she won’t but all I really care about is she remembers how much I love her and how much I’ll do anything for her. πŸ™‚

Happy 16th month to my baby. Thank you for making me happy and for bringing light into my life. I love you.

When the rain is blowing in your face

And the whole world is on your case

I could offer you a warm embrace

To make you feel my love

When the evening shadows and the stars appear

And there is no one thereto dry your tears

I could hold you for a million years

To make you feel my love

I know you haven’t made tour mind up yet

But I would never do you wrong

I’ve known it from the moment that we met

No doubt in my mind where you belong

I’d go hungry

I’d go black and blue and

I’d go crawling down the avenue

You Know there’s nothing that I wouldn’t do

To make you feel my love

The storms are raging on the rolling sea

And on the highway of regret

The winds of change are blowing wild and free

You ain’t seen nothing like me yet

I could make you happy

Make your dreams come true

Nothing that I wouldn’t do

Go to the endsof the Earth for you

To make you feel my love
