YELLOWMUM: Cetaphil, Good for Mommy and Baby

As a new and first time mom, I really take into consideration a lot of factors before using a product on my baby. But the number 1 thing is always safety. Is the product safe to use and will not harm my baby in any way? I admit we usually learn from trial and error.
But one of the products that I wasn’t scared to test on her was Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion. First of all, the brand itself is dermatologically approved and is recommended by many pediatricians. Plus it’s good for all skin types and since my baby has a few dry patches, I make sure to apply a good layer on those areas.
Evert Age. Every Stage. Every Day.
This everyday, lightweight moisturizer is ideal for all over body hydration.
  • helps restore skin’s natural protective barrier
  • keeps skin moisturized and hydrated
  • non-greasy formula leaves skin immediately soft and smooth

I personally have used the cleanser and lotion of Cetaphil and it never broke me out, never had a probblem with it so I thought of using it for Robyn too.
What I LIKE:
  • lightweight
  • not sticky, greasy, oily
  • non-comedogenic
  • no fragrance/scent
  • easily absorbed by the skin
What I DON’T LIKE:
  • price (It’s a little more expensive than ordinary cleansers and lotions for adults)
Just how light is it? Here’s a short demo:

Now I use Cetaphil for both my baby and I. I know that Cetaphil is a little more expensive than other moisturizers (a big bottle costs almost P700), but all the skin benefits definitely outweigh the price tag. Also, I usually just use a small amount for my baby. I just put it in the dry areas of her body, so really one bottle lasts months or maybe even a year! I highly recommend this product! I will also be trying out the cleanser on my baby once I finish her current body cleanser and let you know if it’s also a go! 😉

  1. I was a Cetaphil loyalist for the longest time then I discovered Physiogel cleanser which is just as effective but way cheaper, and I haven't gone back to Cetaphil since then.
