Let's Help Donna of My Lucid Intervals

I do hope that most of you, if not all of you are enjoying your Christmases. I personally couldn't ask for anything more. I have been enjoying each and every day of the holiday season because I know that this will be the last one I will be celebrating it with no children as Munchkin will be with us next year.

I was shocked when I learned that one of my blogger friends Donnarence of My Lucid Intervals just went through a tragedy. Their house burnt down Christmas Day. I immediately contacted her and checked if they were okay. Luckily, they're safe and are now trying to cope with what happened. I learned that they weren't able to save a lot of material things. I know that somehow, Donna is still very lucky, at least they survived and were able to escape the fire. My uncle and his wife died in a fire accident New Year's eve a few years ago, so I know how fast fire is.

Donna was able to blog about what happened here. I would like to extend my help and blog about this. Donna is one of my closest blogger friends. I know that time will heal all wounds but if you can help out in any way, please do. I got the following info from Martha. (Thanks for sharing this Martha!)

Thank you so much for taking time to read this. This season, let's not forget to give thanks to the Lord, for nothing is impossible with God's grace.

Snoe Rouge Deluxe Complete Lip Care

Hey guys, it's almost 2013. I might not be able to blog the next couple of days because we will be attending an out of town wedding and also celebrating the New Year with my in laws. But before the year ends, I want to share with you one of my favorite lip products for this quarter. Yes this product will definitely be part of my Favorites for the Quarter.

Snoe Beauty's Rouge Deluxe Complete Lip Care
in Vintage Rose X12

Infused with Argan, Sunflower, Macadamia, Grape Seed, Avocado and Rosehips Oil

Snoe's Rouge Deluxe is an oil-infused rich and creamy lip color in the season's hottest hues. It will hydrate, nourish, and revitalize lips. While delivering long-lasting color, this product works to smoothen and soften the lips, making your pour extra kissable.

I chose Vintage Rose among all the colors because it reminded me of Tea Rose a lot. It's just a little darker but I knew it would be a perfect lip shade for everyday.

 Swatches of Rouge Deluxe
Vintage Rose is the second from the right.

Here is how it looks like on me:

Here's why I like the product:
1. It's moisturizing.
2. It's creamy but not to the point that it slides on the lips and it's greasy.
3. Color pigmentation is superb.
4. The stain lasts for a few hours.
5. Readily available at any Snoe outlet.

What I don't like about the product:
1. The scent. It smells like play-doh; a little waxy.
2. I may have wanted it to have a little bit more shine. The texture is matte-satin.

They say it's a total lip care and I agree. It does moisturize the lips that I skip putting on lipbalm when I use this product. A similar idea is that of Revlon Lipbutter. However, I feel like Revlon's lipbutter slides off and is not as long lasting as the Rouge Deluxe.

I really hope to get the other shades and I received news that they're coming up with more shades this coming 2013! So exciting! Do I recommend this product? Yes! Especially if you like moisturizing lip products that lasts! :) Any other lip product suggestions? You know I love my lippies and I can never have enough of them. Hehe! :)

The BEST Mascara: Fairydrops Volume Burst Mascara

Here ye! Fairydrops is finally in the Philippines!!! I am sure a lot of you have already heard of the brand. It's been raved a thousand times by countless number of gurus and beauty enthusiasts. I personally heard about it from Jen of Frmheadtotoe. And I looked so hard, searched and searched for Fairydrops in Manila, unfortunately, it was only sold online and really pricey. But now it's readily available in the Philippines exclusively through Beauty Bar for only P950!

Fairydrops was founded by Aya Yasuda, an anchorman at the Major League Baseball on a local TV station in Los Angeles. After researching and experimenting, the 4 teardrop wand was born. It can catch and lift even the shortest lashes.

Fairydrops Volume Burst Mascara
Waterproof Type

What it is:
  • A volumizing, waterproof (for Waterproof Type)or water resistant (for Film Type)mascara; contains Volume Up Powder, Wax and Fiber to make “Volume Burst”in one coat to give you lush, doll-like lashes.
  • Straight 3 teardrop mascara wand

What else you need to know:
  • Comes in Waterproof and Film Type (Non Waterproof). This one is the waterproof one.
  • Waterproof is also sweat and tear proof, good for marine sports.Film type is water resistant. No need to worry about mess and smudge all day long.
  • Lashes are soft to touch-Say NO to brittle feeling lashes!!!

How to use it:

  1. Curl up eyelashes with lash curler.•Apply the mascara by letting the eyelashes be bitten between the balls of the brush at the roots and brush upward for curl.
  2. Keep tightly closed after use.
  3. For Waterproof type, remove with cleansing oil. For Film type, wash with soap and water.

One of the reasons why Fairydrops' mascaras are so popular is because of the 3 tear drop wand.

The unique 3 teardrop brush catches even the tiniest lashes from the roots and lashes are bitten between the balls and sharp triangular bunches are made. Thick at the bottom of the lashes and sharp at the ends of the lashes= DOLL like lashes!!! It pushes the lashes up thus, making all-day beautiful curls and without clump.

So I finally gave it a try and here's how it looks:

 Bare lashes, no mascara

Left: with Fairydrops Volume Burst Mascara
Right: Bare

Here is the comparison:

 with Fairydrops Volume Burst Mascara

You can definitely see that it gave my lashes more length and incredible volume per lash! Did I mention this is just with 1 coat of mascara? Amazing, right?

Here's how both my eyes look with the mascara:

It still looks quite natural, don't you think?

After applying it on, I knew it was a keeper! But of course, I wanted to see how long it will last. My lashes are obviously sparse and they usually straighten after half a day or so.

I decided to wear it throughout the day and I was drenched with sweat because of the heat as always! I ended the evening by cooking dinner for my husband. Again that means more heat and sweat! Before removing my makeup, I decided to take photos once again.

Well hello amazing curls! It held my curls for hours, stayed intact and my lashes still look thick and longer!  Wow! I have never used anything as good as this in holding my curled lashes. The only downside is that it's a pain in the butt to remove. Haha! I had to use a lot of cleansing oils and eye makeup removers. But I guess it's just a small price to pay for the outstanding quality of this mascara!

I have been loving and using this mascara and I actually haven't been wearing false eyelashes anymore because of how impressed I am with this mascara. Seriously, the BEST mascara I have ever used. No wonder it's a bestseller throughout Japan and Asia and is selling like pancakes in US Sephora.

I have a new favorite combo for my lashes! Sephora Heated Lash Curler and Fairydrops Volume Burst Mascara! I'll talk about it soon. :D

Gold and Turquoise FOTD

Happy Holidays everyone! I haven't been blogging much because I have been uber busy with all the festivities. Lots of parties, gatherings and reunions. I do hope to share with you some of the events I went to soon. I've also been nesting so I've been busy scouting and researching for Munchkin's stuff.

Anyway, here's something different. Here's a new FOTD. I realized I haven't been posting FOTDs lately, it's really because I haven't been wearing too much makeup recently. Lazy much? Not really, I just find myself not having enough time to do my makeup when I go out.

So here's a late post, but I'm so thankful I was able to take photos to document my look. I wore this when I went to the Virginia Olsen Holiday Collection launch

I actually wore this look out to an event as well. This is the makeup look that I wore when I went to the Snoe Past, Present & the Future event. Since the theme was futuristic, I just opted to change my lipstick to Careline Lipgloss 103 to give it a little more drama.

This is definitely something different and modern. You can definitely sport this to your Christmas parties! Do let me know if you decide to try it out. :) And if you haven't subscribed to my youtube channel yet, I'll gladly appreciate it if you do. :) Few days to go before Christmas! Happy Holidays Everyone!

Crowne Plaza Seven Corners

It's that time of the year- throwing dieting out the window! I think everyone, and I mean everyone, enjoys indulging during this season. Who doesn't right? So many Christmas parties, get togethers and reunions. One of the celebration places we enjoy is going to buffets, particularly Seven Corners of Crowne Plaza.

H and I decided to get a membership when we got married because we were going to stay there for our hotel preparations and wedding night. When we computed, it ended up getting a good deal because of all the discounts and vouchers you get when you avail of the membership card. So we did, and after so many years, we are still members.

Anyways, just this December 12, we decided to celebrate Christmas in advance. We were in the area anyways and we were both so hungry, it was the perfect excuse! Haha!

I loved their Christmas theme decor outside Seven Corners. I initially wanted to have a photo taken with the decor, but got really shy when I saw that a lot of people were lining up. KFineBye.

I love Japanese food and since I can't eat anything raw at the moment, I usually request California Temaki. H loves his Unagi so his was Unagi Temaki. I'm just sad they don't have Tamago.

I wasn't able to take a photo of their appetizer bar so here's one from January of this year. :p They have huge lobsters, mussels and honestly, I don't really know what other seafood creatures are available since I don't really eat them - I'm allergic. But this is my husband's favorite station!

One notable yumminess is their noodles and beef soup. I normally just get the beef soup, because it's extremely delicious. But sometimes, we get mussels, young corn and mushrooms. Oh it's orientally delicious! Haha!

I make sure to eat their steak. I learned my lesson and have it sliced thinly so it's easier to finish. Haha! Mine is always well done and H likes his medium well. This is a must! We didn't like their sausage that much though. It didn't taste anything special. :/

I love my Roti and I'm so glad we found a chef who makes perfect roti. I personally request this because they don't have it in their station. It's usually just Naan bread. I request them to make me this dish and ask for condensed milk as dip. Oh heaven!

Since it's Christmas time, they decorated their dessert station really nicely. We have been going to Seven Corners for 3 years, but this is the first year I saw that they really went all out!

Here are some of the desserts available.

One of their famous ice cream flavors is Melon. I think they make it themselves. It's really good. Believe me, I don't eat a lot of fruits or fruit flavored ice cream, but this is an exception. I also got Strawberry and my every so favorite, Creme Brulee. I promise it's so good, sinful, and just creamy goodness. I decided to devour it right away when I got it. :) Haha!

Also, because it was Christmas, they had a Bibingka and Puto Bungbong station. I liked their Bibingka a lot. I got two small servings! :D And of course, it's never a Filipino Christmas without these two, right?

Here is my husband's festive dessert platter:

Santa's so cute! And so yummy!
I can just imagine Munchkin enjoying it next time. :)

And to cap off the evening and to help neutralize everything that we ate, we got Twinings Chamomile Tea. It's the perfect companion to buffets as it's very light and personally, it relaxes me. :D

So that is it for my Seven Corners binging. Haha! I don't know if we'll be going again this Holidays. I'm kinda trying to stay on track in terms of my weight gain. :p But! I saw that Seven Corners will offer 50% on lunch buffets starting December 24, I think it's until December 30. So if I were you, check on the promo details! It's a great way to celebrate the holiday with family, friends and significant other!
