Robinsons Living Wellness Campaign

These days, it's so difficult to live well because of so many factors especially all the fast food and junk food we intake. I personally admit I'm one of those people who indulge in this. With my ever so chaotic and busy schedule, I tend to just choose convenience over wellness. Luckily, Robinsons Supermarket created a program that teaches consumers to bring out wellness via instore experiences in different Robinsons supermarkets nationwide.

To help shoppers find wellness in everyday life, Robinsons Supermarket has embarked on a full-year, holistic campaign entitled Living Wellness. The campaign allows people to experience a better, well-rounded lifestyle and, at the same time, share wellness to the community.

I was invited to the launch of Living Wellness and even though I had a hectic schedule that day, this campaign somehow struck me because of course, I would always want to choose to live well, healthy and holistic.

The event was hosted by Gellie Victor who's a DJ and also a fitness guru. It showed that she is obviously living wellness. She looked beautiful, fit and most importantly, she radiated positivity.

Jodi Gadia of Robinsons Supermarket explained to us  what the campaign is all about and also discussed that throughout the year, featured products will be identified through the Living Wellness tags and they will be offered with discounts and freebies. Furthermore, games, promos and other educational activities will also be available to allow shoppers to experience wellness.

Celebrities came to support the campaign too.

Ms. Elnora Abarientos of World Vision, shared that they are fortunate to be partners with Robinsons. Their partnership takes effect through the Living Wellness Caravan. This helps World Vision's Ebenezer community to build good habits and more.

The Living Wellness campaign has four categories. It's a holistic approach to life so all the aspects of our lives are included and affected.

Living Beauty
tackles about beauty not just purely being physical, but also about taking care of one's self and being positive.

Since we were able to check out the animation, I was able to have my skin assessed. Thanks to Ponds! This will be available in different Robinsons supermarkets via the Living Wellness exhibit.

Living a Happy Home
is making sure that the house, clothes and dishes are clean at all times

Living Good Food
Obviously, this goes without saying, eating healthy means eating the right food and having a balanced diet

They featured teas so I was able to ask the nutritionist all about them since I am currently hooked and addicted to my Celestial tea.

Living Happiness
is all about being happy with the simple things that life brings us

Sharing Wellness
You can sponsor a child and every child sponsored will not only get an educational sponsorship but will also be included in the Living Wellness caravan.

Living Wellness Caravan

The Living Wellness Caravan will teach Robinsons' current 50 scholars and their families how to live wellness and will also let them experience all the exhibits that are available in the Robinsons Supermarkets.

This April, Living Wellness in Summer packs will be available. Every purchase of a pack gives you the chance to win: P15,000 Robinsons Gift Certificates, 5 Blackberry Curve 8250, 1 Macbook Air or 1 Honda City!

And the Lunchbox of Hope will come back this coming May. Every purchase allows shoppers to automatically donate to the Living Wellness Caravan and also get free premium items. Also, each purchase of any of the packs gives you the chance to win one of three educational scholarships (worth P30,000) yourself.

Honestly, I feel like this is such a great way to start the year right! :)

San San Matte Finish Liquid Foundation Review

I am always on the look out for different alternatives or dupes of my favorite products. I guess I just really like having options and being a makeup artist, it's always important to have options and alternatives to makeup just in case  so I can try everything on my client and see which is perfect.

One of the newest foundations that I've tried is the San San Matte Finish Liquid Foundation. HBC sent me three shades and I was really looking forward to using it as I have read so many great reviews about this.

Here are the shades that I got side by side. Obviously, I'm still missing #2. Will try to get it very soon!

Shade 1, 3, 4
 without flash

 Shade 1, 3, 4
 with flash

I combined Shade 1 & 3 for my shade. It's very blendable so I had no problem with it. Hopefully when I get Shade 2, that would a perfect shade for me so I don't need to combine foundation colors anymore. ;)

Here are the things that I love about it:
  • It gives full coverage. I rarely wear liquid foundation but when I do, it just means that I'm going out on a special event or occasion. Sometimes, I really need full coverage to cover any imperfection.
  • My favorite liquid foundation is MAC Studio Fix and this reminds me of that in its coverage.
  • It's not heavy on the skin. Some full coverage foundations feel heavy on the skin. That's mainly the reason why I don't like wearing liquid foundation that much and prefer powder ones. But this one surprisingly feels okay on the skin. It's still not light feeling like you're not wearing any makeup, but at least it's not dragging the skin down.
  • It's matte! It's long lasting. In fact I didn't have to retouch my makeup in the video. I stayed in an airconditioned room during the 4 hour period. I only blotted once with an oil blotting film prior to recording the video.
  • It's so inexpensive! Less than P200 for 30ml bottle.

What I don't like about it:
  • Wider range of colors. I find Shade 1 and 3 to be warm and 4 to be more on the cool side.
  • I would have wanted it in a pump bottle. (Although this is a minor point)
  • I wish the San San counter has complete testers. When I went there the other day to get Shade 2 which was out of stock, I saw that they didn't have testers.

Here are the shades that I currently own:

 Shade 1

 Shade 3

 Shade 4

Swatch attack!
Shade 1, 3 and 4

Overall, I am impressed with these foundations and I now understand why everybody is going gaga over it! I wonder if San San will come up with matte powder foundations too? That would be interesting! :)

Forever Sheer Powder by Flawless

It's been so humid lately because of it's been so sunny and then sometimes it rains, the weather's just crazy! So usually, I would just wear powder foundation or BB cream or sometimes just sheer powder. And my newest favorite sheer powder is Forever Sheer Powder.

A refreshing wispy loose powder for the face and body to brighten the skin. Contains the aroma of Bearberry to give you a silky, captivating appeal. Carries whispers of the Forever scent.

I wear this on top of my day cream or my BB cream and I've also tried using this to set my liquid foundation and it's perfect! Since I also set my concealer with loose powder, this is what I have been using lately. It's just so light on the skin oh and it smells so heavenly! I really like the Forever scent and the sheer powder carries this scent.

Here's a photo of me wearing just the Forever Sheer Powder over sunblock. :)

I would recommend this if you just want a sheer coverage powder and if you don't have a whole lot of blemishes, scars or discoloration to cover. :) If you're also looking for a powder to use to set your concealer, this is also a good product to try as it doesn't change and alter the color of your concealer. Plus it's only P250.00. You can purchase this at any branch of Flawless.

Pure Beauty Perfect Cleansing Water

Happy Monday! It's going to be a busy week for me. But I do hope that I'd be able to blog; still got a lot of backlogs. Oh and I just recorded my Favorites video. :) Hopefully I'll be able to edit and upload it this week before the month ends.

But for today, I want to share with you a product that I've been using for about two months now to clean my face. I bought Pure Beauty Perfect Cleansing Water for Sensitive Skin from Watsons. I bought this because I have been using Cleansing Oils for years and when I saw this, I was really intrigued. I never heard of a Cleansing Water.

What I like? I was surprised that it actually does its job well. It can even remove my liquid foundation. But as usual, I prefer using my Mascara Remover to remove my makeup and then I just follow it up with the Perfect Cleansing Water. I'm pretty happy that I got this, I actually alternate it with my Cleansing Oil. Oh and it's pretty cheap too. This was only P120+ and I only use 1 pump to remove all of my makeup.

What I don't like? I think the only thing that I don't like about it is that I initially thought it was just water, (but obviously it's not.) but the formula stings my eyes. The first time that I tried it- thinking that it was really just water, I kept opening my eyes and the formula got inside and it stings so bad! So I learned that it's still better to keep the eyes closed.

Overall, I still like this product. It's obviously not as oily or moisturizing as cleansing oils, that's why I alternate using it with my cleansing oil. But if you're not used to cleansing oils and find it too oily (coz I know some people do), this is a good product to use to remove makeup.

I know there are other variants of the Pure Beauty makeup removers. I wonder if you've already tried the others? I'm fairly satisfied with this one though. :)
