San San Hydrating Color Dew Review

New Year is coming up and I'm sure a lot of us will be going to different parties. As we all know, kissing is a New Year tradition, whether or not you will be kissing a boyfriend, husband, family or a friend, it is important that we have a well moisturized lips. We don't want them to be dry especially when kissing. ;)

Here's one of the local lipsticks I recommend and I think this line is one of my favorites. It's none other than San San Hydrating Color Dew Lipsticks.

Beautiful lips know vitamins too, and San San Cosmetics offers lipstick lovers a healthier way to swipe their lip colors with the introduction of San San Hydrating Color Dew lipsticks.
Each tube of San San Hydrating Color Dew lipstick provides a burst of color with brilliant shine and has moisture retain features such as Lanolin Oil that seals the lips and prevents it from chapping. Its waxy texture allows for easy application and even coverage.

Aside from moisture retain, San San Hydrating Color Dew lipsticks contain Vitamins A, C, E for healthy lips and SPF 15 for sun protection. Each tube sells for P85 (4g) and are available in all HBC stores nationwide.

I briefly talked about them in my HBC Goodies video when I received them from the company.

Here's a mini review as well. It's at the end of the video. :)

Shades 01, 03, 04, 05

Here are the swatches of the shades:

 05, 04, 03, 01

 05, 04, 03, 01

To be honest, I was quite surprised that these lipsticks were THAT good. It was my first time to try their lip products and I didn't know what to expect. I only have a couple of local lip brands and I have to say I am not 100% satisfied. Some were really good, some were not. So trying out these lipsticks from San San was a risk for me.

I honestly fell in love with this line because of how moisturizing the lipsticks are. San San is known as the "makeup with vitamins" so I know that these vitamins are responsible for keeping my lips hydrated. I am also in love with the scent. The lipsticks smell soooo good and so yummy. Reminds me of cocoa butter and flower candies. :)

The only down side that I can think of is that it's a "regular lipstick". It's not long wearing, which means you have to reapply time and time again. When I'm going to a party, I would wear a lip liner prior to my lipstick but I still bring my lipstick with me for retouching.

 Shade 01

This shade is a little sheer and it just gives the lips a little shimmer. When applied, it looks like you have lipgloss on instead of a lipstick. I rarely wear this though.

 Shade 03

This would have to be my favorite shade. I like the peach-pink color it gives my lips. It looks pretty natural too. Out of the 4 lipsticks, this is the one that I usually wear and bring with me when I go out.

 Shade 04

This is a nice burgundy lip color. I've worn this in my Christmas Colors Inspired look and I love it. It's not as bright as my other red lipsticks, it's a little deeper so it's not over the top! So if you are into red but not ready for a bright bright red, try this!

 Shade 05

Now Shade 05 is pink. At first I thought that 03 and 05 looked the same, and then I realized they're not. Shade 05 is more pink. I've worn this in another makeup look (which I haven't posted yet.) Aside from 03, this is also a staple in my everyday look as I can wear this lip color with anything- and I mean anything! :)

Rating:

2 out of 3 Schnauzers

So that's it! I will probably wearing 01 with a nice colored or heavy eye makeup or a neutral eye makeup with 04 on New Year. :)

Happy New Year everyone! :) Expect more great things only here at Yellow Yum!

Lilac Rose Makeup

Happy New Year! :)  I know I haven't been blogging that much, I've been quite busy with family gatherings and work. Normally, we get a lot of customers and we tend to get a lot busy during the holidays.

Anyways, here's another makeup tutorial which I think you can use for New Year celebrations. It's fairly simple and you can wear it during day time or night time if you want. It's a great look when you don't have time to change your makeup from day to night.

I was on my way out one day and I chose to wear a black top. I didn't want to go with my usual neutral look so I thought of wearing a little lilac and old rose on my lids.

Last Minute Xmas Gift: Snoe Beauty Handy Candy Lip Color

Hey everybody, Merry Christmas! I don't think I'll be able to blog tomorrow because I'd probably be busy with celebrations. Haha! But do check out my youtube channel because I will be uploading several videos today and maybe tomorrow. :)

Anyways, my husband and I actually finished our Christmas shopping last week- to my surprise we didn't go last minute shopping. But I know some people who will be running to the mall to get their last minute gifts. Here's one that I highly recommend for the girls in your life.

Snoe Beauty Handy Candy Lip Color

This is one of the things that I received from Snoe. And it comes with three colors in one cute little packaging. I love the variety of shades!

Bubble Gum, Strawberry Shake and Milk Chocolate shades

Here are some things I pointed out:

First of all, I love the packaging! It's so handy and so cute. It makes as a great add on to your gifts or actually, if I was the one who'll receive this, I'd still be ecstatic even with just this lip color.

I also love the colors, you get pink, red and red orange shades! I always bring 3-4 lip shades because I love changing my look with just a swipe of lipstick.

You have to use your finger to apply the lip color and I discourage using a lip brush. I actually don't like this fact because I don't like using my fingers and the color also stains my finger.

It's long wearing. Obviously since it stains my fingers. I'm a sucker for anything long lasting and this actually meets my standards. I call this a lip tint instead of a lipstick because it doesn't give the same intensity of color in the pot but it's still good enough for me!

I don't really like the "I just sucked on a red lollipop look." I find it funny. I don't really know how to explain this further but the color settles on the lines of the lips. I found a solution though. Yey! Just put lipgloss on top as this helps blend the color better.

Here are some swatches of the colors:

Milk Chocolate, Strawberry Shake, Bubble Gum

If you haven't bought anything yet, I highly recommend this as a gift for your girlfriend, sister, or even your girl friend. I'm so sure that they will be satisfied with this. Plus did I mention how affordable it is? It's only P159.00! Great deal right? So visit Snoe Beauty outlets now! :)

Christmas Inspired Looks: Christmas Colors

This is the second look that I came up with for my back to back Christmas tutorial which is all about Christmas inspired looks or makeup. And since we're already talking about Christmas, my second look is basically using Christmas colors, green and red. I know a lot of people are scared of using bright colored eyeshadows and I think this look and makeup shows you that it's not so scary after all. :)

Close up of my eye makeup:

I believe that this look is very wearable. I'd wear it out or even during Christmas eve! :) Hope this helps! I enjoyed doing this back to back tutorial and I'll probably do another series next time. Ciao! And Happy Holidays everyone!

Christmas Inspired Looks: Blue Christmas

I am extremely excited to share with you something I worked on recently. Well since it's Christmas time, I decided to create a back to back Christmas tutorial. I wanted to do some Christmas inspired looks. I decided to use colored shadows on this series just because I felt that I already have a lot of neutral and natural looks. You can of course wear those looks too since they're very timeless anyways. :)

This is the first look that I came up with, I always hear people saying "It's a Blue Christmas for me." meaning no love life. Well, here's a makeup look that will surely turn heads. :) I have always felt that blue eyeshadow gives perfect contrast to brown eyes and I have always loved wearing a "tame" blue shadow.

Glambox Airbrush System

I guess you may already have guessed what this blog is going to be! It's all about Airbrush Makeup, specifically using the Glambox Airbrush System! :)

I was sent the system to use and it's honestly a great system to have especially for makeup artists. Airbrush basically means that makeup is being sprayed to the skin instead of using a brush or sponge. This means no lines or streaks, just flawless smooth coverage.

Airbrush makeup is already being used by celebrities in movies, theater, tv and even in runway. But nowadays, you can find personal airbrush systems, like GlamBox Airbrush.

The kit comes with these tools aside from the products (i.e foundation, blush, etc.):

Compressor
Airbrush Gun (w/ accessories)
Gun holder
Adaptor
Airhose
DVD
Carrying Case

What makes GlamBox Airbrush different is how compact and light weight it is. I actually haven't seen other systems as small as GlamBox. It's so convenient to bring and so easy to use. Regular makeup can settle in the pores and foundation streaks may be visible, but with airbrush makeup, it only gives a natural looking coverage to the skin.

There are 3 modes. It's recommended to use Medium for face makeup and High for body makeup. I don't really put foundation on the body except if my client needs some coverage or to give her a nice glow or tan. This is perfect for it as it would give a natural looking finish.

The secret is in the gun!

Like what I mentioned in the video, pull the lever half way so it's easier to control the product that comes out. The pen type gun is also light weight by the way! Hooray! :)

I made a demo on how to use the system to apply foundation, contour, blush and highlight:

Here are some photos to show you the result. I actually received a lot of "oohs and ahhs" with this look. When I went to the grocery, a gay guy actually commented how flawless my skin looked. I was giggling inside, thinking it's just airbrush makeup. Haha! :)

This is one of the most requested techniques and makeup by brides because of how natural it looks on the skin. Don't I look like a happy and blooming bride? Haha!

GlamBox has different packages for personal and professional use. You can visit their website at www.glamboxairbrush.com for more details on the packages. And don't worry, expect more tutorials using the GlamBox Airbrush System. :)

Skin Care Products for October

Hi everyone, I plan to do a lot of changes in my blog. Now that I've already changed the name to yellowyum(dot)com, I wanted to change the look of the blog as well. But before getting into that, I want to finish all my backlogs first. So expect some  posts that are a month late or so. :/

One of which is my video about the skin care products that I used for the whole month of October. My skin was fantastic that month so I shared the products that I used and talked about it in my youtube channel.

Nivea Visage Sparkling White Acne Oil Control Whitening Cleansing Foam
Nivea Visage Sparkling White Day Care

Seriously this is one of my saviors! I honestly felt that with this line, I was pimple free and I did not experience any break outs. I also really saw that it maintained my glowing skin from the Nano Powerpeel and that's basically what I wanted. It's not too harsh and the day cream takes care of controlling the oiliness through out the day. This line is a must try!

One of my secrets is using cleansing oil to remove my makeup. I really feel like they are the best when it comes to removing any kind of makeup, whether it's liquid, cream, powder and most especially oil-based and waterproof makeup. I never never sleep without removing my makeup. It's something that my mun taught me back in the days. I love Skin Hour Deep Cleansing Oil because not only does it do what it's supposed to, but it does wonders when it comes to moisturizing and it's organic!

 Flawless Whitening Toner

Like what I mentioned in the video, I'm not sure if it's because of the Sparkling White products or it's because of this Whitening Toner by Flawless, but I do feel like my skin got a little lighter. Whatever it is, I am digging it! :) I like the scent of this toner but most importantly I love that it cleans my face really good. Sometimes there are some dirt or oil left even after cleansing, that's why toning is important. This whitening toner really removes everything and helps close my pores too.

VMV Armada Face Cover SPF30

VMV has always been one of the best when it comes to skin care because of their technology. This sunblock is definitely one of their best sellers. It's so light and smooth in texture. I love that after applying this, it gives me a velvety base to work with. Who doesn't like that right? A little goes a long way too. I used this especially the week after my Nano Powerpeel.

Flawless Skin Protect Lotion

At first, I actually thought that this is for the face, but when I asked the people from Flawless, they said that it's for the body. So I used this mainly for my neck area after my Warts Out procedure. I was supposed to keep my neck away from the sun to prevent discoloration and sun spots. I decided to use this Skin Protect Lotion. It's also quite light, it feels like lotion. I wouldn't use this when going to the beach as it only has SPF26, but it's a good everyday sunblock.

Nivea Visage Q10 Plus Night Care

I cannot get over my Nivea Q10 Night Moisturizer. I've said this before but I really feel like it's one of the best night moisturizers I have ever tried. I love the consistency, the feel, everything about it. I highly recommend this to everyone!

All of these products has kept my face looking radiant as ever and I have continued most if not all of these until this month because it really worked for me. Then again, it doesn't mean that if it worked for me, it will also work for you. Same goes if it doesn't work for me, it still might work for you. It's best to try it out and see what is best for you. :)
