My husband and I got a free lunch set meal at Prince Albert, Intercontinental Hotel Manila. It was because we were Priority Privielge card holders. I talked about it before and the benefits and privileges members get from it such as discounts.
This time we used our coupon to try Prince Albert. It’s Hotel Intercon’s fine dining restaurant. I was quite excited because it was my first time there and even though I wasn’t dressed for a classy lunch, it did not matter as I was busy being excited. 🙂

The server told us that we would be enjoying a three course meal. But we were also served their bread which both H and I loved. I literally devoured it! I love bread and theirs were quite tasty.

First was mushroom soup. Oh my, it was really delicious. It was very creamy, and I could taste the mushroom in the soup. They also added this crispy “thing” on top and spongey egg at the bottom that made the dish even better.

 Mushroom Soup

Now onto our main course:

 My Roasted Chicken

 H’s Salmon

Starting with H’s salmon, this one I loved most. It was cooked perfectly, it was juicy not dry at all. The serving was very generous too. We shared our dishes with each other so both could taste their orders. I also liked the sauce of the salmon. It was cream based and it complimented the fish.

For my roasted chicken, it was juicy too. I liked that it wasn’t hard to bite because some roasted chickens are. I didn’t like the sauce that came with the chicken though. I’d say this was a so-so dish. It tasted normal, not worthy of a fine-dining price. I loved the salmon better.

 Wild Cherry Dessert

Sorry, but I didn’t like this at all. The wild cherry tasted like a tasteless bread. It was as hard as eating bread. For me, when you say dessert- it’s sweet. Even the filling inside, I thought it was condensed milk, but no. It was evaporated milk which wasn’t sweet enough to mask the taste of the cherry.

Assorted Chocolates

Nothing special, I can’t even remember how these tasted. I think the brown one was dark chocolate. Nothing different about it.
Overall we became full. I wouldn’t say it’s worth going back to just because the prices were steep and I find the food to be just okay. I like the ambiance though, it’s very cozy and all the servers were very attentive.
I wonder if you have tried dining here too? What were your orders and how were your experiences? 🙂

Here’s a pretty late post because this reunion was about a month ago. But for some reason I forgot that I havent posted this yet.
Anyways, my friends and I met up in Powerplant because my dear friend Andy just came home. She went to Japan to study their language and after that, went straight to the U.S. to spend some time with her cousins and friends, so inevitably it called for a reunion!

I was running late so Eric and Andy already chose a restaurant. They chose Wild Ginger, a restaurant I haven’t tried before. I was surprised when Eric told me that it was a Thai restaurant.

Here were our orders:

 Asian Crispy Pork P190.00
It reminded me of Lechon Kawali. I personally don’t find it any special. It tasted just like the usual Lechon Kawali. So I don’t feel like I need to discuss this further.

 Roti with Curry Dip P120.00

The best roti I have tasted from a restautant here in the Metro. I have tasted that of Kebab Factory’s and Banana Leaf. I have also tried Crowne Plaza’s Seven Corners, but it was part of the buffet. Anyways, going back, this Roti was really good because it’s super chewy and at P120 there were already a lot of rotis. Plus it came with a yummy curry sauce too.

 Beef Rendang P245.00
This was one of my favorites. It reminded me of curry. The beef was very tender too. I dipped my Roti on this because it tasted simply amazing!

Hainanese Chicken P265.00
I think this was Andy’s order. Again, nothing special. But the Hainanese Chicken was pretty good. Anyways, I realized maybe it’s because Hainanese Chicken isn’t a specialty of Thailand. If this dish was a little cheaper, maybe I’d order it again but at P265, I think it’s too expensive.
That’s it! I’ll definitely go back for the Roti and Beef Randang. 🙂

How's your long weekend so far? Mine's pretty good actually. I'll be spending the day with my sisters playing. Haha!

So I actually missed doing smokey. I rarely do so because I don't really go out that much at night. If so, I am usually with my husband who loves and prefers my natural look. So I decided to do this tutorial to share another version of the smokey.

I'd say this is a makeup look I would wear when I'm going out to a bar or with my girls for a girls night out! It's a smokey eye look but I used eyeshadows with a lot of glitters to make the eyes sparkle. ;)
