My car got hit!

I first typed in the title “I got hit.” However decide to change it since people might not read the whole entry and think that I’m in the hospital or something.

Last Monday, as I was driving home from work, this was around 8-830pm, a car, I didn’t get the car model nor the plate number as he was driving really fast, made a counterflow and was in my line. He hit the driver’s side of my car and I cannot believe the driver did not even slow down or stop. I of course, slowed down. I knew that there was a jeepney stop there, so I really made sure to keep my speed just right, however, the driver of the other car, (I’m not sure if he was drunk or what), just flew right by me!

So yes, here are the damages:

Scratches all over the driver’s side of the vehicle.

My mudguard gone!

Left back fender has a freaking hole!

Scratches in my side mirror

Thank God I’m okay. Actually everything happened so fast and right after I got hit, I didn’t know what to do. I parked my car somewhere and right away thought about H, and decided to call my parents. They were concerned but I told them I was fine. I asked if it was okay for me to go down and check on the car and see the damages, but my dad advised me to go straight home and not go down from the car. Apparently there are “modos operandis” like this. And it would not be a wise decision if I go down. So that’s what I did.

Until now, I haven’t had the chance to have the car fixed for I won’t have anything to drive. :( Hay… I know this is normal, just didn’t think it would happen WHEN I’M BUSY AND I HAVE SO MANY THINGS TO DO. Yes I know I’m ranting. Just makes me angry when I remember all about the damages. :/ Oh well…

MIA Char

I know I've been MIA again. Boo. :( I've been so busy with work, especially now that H is pursuing his studies and I'm responsible for the two branches of our family business. It ain't easy managing 4 branches at once I tell you that. I've been feeling a little off, because I'm so darn tired. That I finally get a few hours all to myself today. After my Flawless treatment, I have decided I'll get myself a good ol massage. I thought of trying out a new spa near our place. :) After that and after closing shop, I will be spending some time with my family because it is my Amma's birthday today. (Amma=Grandma).

Tomorrow I have another photo shoot. I'll try to post photos real soon. Hopefully I'll be able to pencil in bloggins again by next week! Hay. I love backreading on my entries before as I get inspired to post an entry again. :)

I hope you guys have a good weekend! Mine will be packed and busy again! Haha. Ciao! :)

Thai Food Galore

This is a long post full of pics. I just wanted to share the food we ate during our last trip to Thailand. I swear I love eating there because the prices are really cheap! And really delicious too. :)

I apologize for the amateur pictures.  I am not a professional photographer or anything and I just used my point and shoot camera for these.

This was my lunch during the Pet Expo at Queen Sirikit.
 Hubby’s Sweet & Sour Pork
There drinks are usually in tall slim cups. If you ask for no ice, it’s more expensive. You get more of the soda, that’s why.
At Queen Sirikit Foodcourt before heading to the expo.
The meal was about 50-60 baht each.

Fuji, our most favorite restaurant. Fuji serves Japanese food. We always go here for lunch because of their set menu and lunch promos. We like the ambiance and the fact that the servers know and understand English.

One of our favorite restaurants: Fuji
  Iced Coffee

I always order this. This is their Beef Set Menu for Lunch.
Would you believe it’s only 160baht? Sooo filling and yuuummmyyy!

Close up of the beef!

Hachiban Ramen, MBK Mall:

Gyoza 45 baht
  H’s Karamen 63baht

My Kamora 70 baht

It’s spaghetti. And I learned something when I ate this dish. Don’t underestimate when they say it’s mild spicy or not spicy, because it is!

Siomari 45 baht

On to dessert at Swensen’s:

I first had a taste of Swensen’s in Singapore during our HMN trip and fell in love with the creaminess of ice cream. Just thinking about it now makes me hungry! YUM!

H ordered Nutty Crispy Tower 89 baht

And mine is 2-Tone Brownie Tower 75 baht
For some reason it wasn’t as delicious as the one in Singapore. :(

We also usually eat at food courts because they’re cheaper but still really good. What I hate though is that usually the people in the stalls don’t understand English. So you usually just point at the dish you want, also known as “turo turo”.

At Siam Food Hall:
Siam Paragon is a mall quite near to where we stay and I would say just like Ayala Malls. They have high end stores but still caters to mid-end public. I love going to Siam malls because they’re interconnected. I think there’s Siam Discovery, Siam Paragon and there’s another mall (I just forgot the name).

H’s meal. This was about 60 baht.

I ordered Chicken Curry. Same price.
Still super spicy. :(
I love the veggies. It reminds me of my Grandma’s sitaw.

By the way, I love spicy food. And I love Indian food. H could attest to that. I could eat lots and lots of food with chili flakes and chili and not get sick from it. However, Thai food, the ones I ate in Thailand were just so HOOTTT!

Next is: MBK Food Hall

MBK is a mall near to where we stay so we usually go here. It’s very convenient given that 8pm, malls already close!

H’s meal, it was about 55baht

Mine was a combination of grilled and fried chicken: 60 baht

Now, another favorite restaurant:

This was our second time in Greyhound Cafe. It’s a cute artsy restaurant in Siam Discovery. The servers are fluent in English and usually the ones dining here are socialites/high end market.

Again, I made sure to order this. It’s called Complicated Noodles.

Now I had to try this Dried Beef with rice. It was really good.
A little spicy still. Haha! But it was okay.

Since the food was spicy, I had to eat dessert.

We ordered 1 pint of ice cream to share.

Chocolate Extreme!

I forgot how much it was, but definitely cheaper. 1 pint was actually about p100 only! Cheap, right?

So I already mentioned that we missed our flight right? We stayed at The Great Residence. And there were no restaurants near the hotel, so we didn’t have any choice but to eat ONLY at their restaurant. Good thing is it wasn’t bad at all.

I forgot the name of the dish. But it was pork. Haha!
 Their heart-shaped rice. :) Cute.

This dish I liked. It was catfish I think mixed with mangoes and tomatoes.

Step 1: Pour the sauce to the catfish.

Step 2: Mix it.

Step 3: Put some on your plate.

Enjoy! :)

Fried Pork

Luckily, the Great Residence  had decent food! So we somehow enjoyed our stay there. :)

So there, those were the dishes we had during our stay in Thailand last month. I’m now getting hungry just looking at the photos. Are you? :)

Camel Inspired

I wanted to wear makeup because I had a birthday party to attend to one day, and I was inspired by, you guessed it right… a camel. I wanted to play with yellows and browns. I haven’t played with yellows for so long so this was the perfect time.

I was to meet with my friend, John for lunch and to go to my cousin-in-law’s party for his son. It was a children’s party so I didn’t want to look like THE clown. Haha! So I tamed by makeup, keeping in mind that I will be going with H. And he specifically told me he didn’t like my “mermaid eyes”. Haha!

Products Used:

Face:
Skin Hour Mattifying Day Cream
Dream Minerals Foundation in Charlene
Dream Minerals Setting Powder in Gaia (I needed to make sure I’m not oily! So I chose a matte setting powder.)
Clinique All About Eyes Rich
Max Factor Panstick in True Beige
Fanny Serrano Two Way Cake Foundation in Rajah for contour
Fanny Serrano Artist Box Blush in Shade 2

I used Shade 2.

So I just kept my face simple. As I said I was going to a children’s birthday party and I usually don’t put on tons of makeup when I’m with my family. :p

On to the eye makeup:

Eyes:
UDPP- Original
88pc matte eyeshadow palette (buy similar at LuLu Makeup here): 2B, 3J, 8G and 3A
- 2B as eye color
- 3J for contour and to blend out the colors
- 8G as eyeliner
- 3A for highlight
Winc Instant Lash Duo Mascara
Modelco Eyebrow Powder in Dark
MAC Browset in Beguile

IMG_0051NOI used the following shades:
2B, 3J, 8G and 3A

The reason why I used purple as my eyeliner is because I wanted a pop of color. I felt that my makeup was already too simple that I wanted something colorful, something shocking. Hehe! So I just chose a different shade for my eyeliner and not use the usual black or browns. :p

Photo taken while I was driving.

Lips:
32 Lip Palette Shade 2D (buy similar at LuLu Makeup here)

IMG_0022
I used a pink shade of lip color to accent the purple, being a cool tone.

So yes, even though my inspiration was a camel, it didn’t look dry and boring at all. Haha! Wanted to tweak it myself. :p I think it worked well. Don’t you think?
