Etude House Soft Touch Liner #1

I’ve already posted my previous purchases from Etude House and I fell in love with the price and quality of their lip liners. I’m currently big on lippies as I’ve bought myself a 32 color lip palette from Dollface and more lipsticks such as Maybelline’s Colorsensational. It comes naturally that I be interested in lip liners as well.
The Etude House Soft Touch Lip Liner is so affordable that I had to get another shade! It’s only P98.00!

With a cute lip drawing. Hehe!

The shade I got is #1. I already have #6 and #7.
It’s a pinkish lip shade with red undertone. I think this goes quite well with pink lip colors. It’s not really red but not nude either. I already have those when I purchased #6 and #7.

Here’s a closer look:

I am soooo into Etude House’s lip liners. I like that it helps keep my lipstick in place. Helps the color stay a little longer than just applying lipstick alone. I also learned from the Bobbi Brown workshop to put lipliners after applying lipstick. Something that has become very helpful and handy! :)

Priority Privilege

We are privileged! Haha! I am actually talking about the Priority Privilege Card of Crowne Plaza, Hotel Intercontinental and Holiday Inn. It’s a membership card for the three hotels. They have discounts and certificates/coupons to all three hotels.

My husband and I availed the membership last year for our wedding as we were to check in Crowne Plaza. We used the discount certificate for the Executive Suite of Crowne Plaza for my bridal suite. So we got the suite for about P12,000 or so for two nights! We also used the discount certificate for the deluxe room for my husband to stay in the night before the wedding. It was around P4,000 if I’m not mistaken. Basically that was the reason why we got the card. Plus the fact that we love buffet hotel hopping!

After it expired, H kinda felt sad not being able to eat out on a whim. And even though I told him many times for us to think about it, he ended up renewing our membership. Haha! (And yes, for those who are wondering if we’ve already eaten again since the renewal.)

Here’s our membership package when it arrived via Air 21.

Yes, there’s a spouse card or a supplementary card. So I get one too!

The membership is P6,500.

Renewal benefit. :)

I guess for those who really enjoy buffet or fine dining, or those who have the time and enjoy staying at hotels – all are me – it’s okay to avail of the membership card. We’ve even tried using it abroad when we went to Thailand for the third leg of our honeymoon. We actually ate buffet at Holiday Inn Bangkok and got a whopping 50% discount without using any certificate/coupon. We just presented the card and voila. ;)

Short Hiatus

As you’ve probably noticed, I haven’t been able to blog that much recently. I’ve just been really busy with work and my upcoming business trip. So I will be leaving tonight and will be back next week. I hope to post a lot of new finds from my trip and maybe staple places that we go to. I’m quite excited for I will be going with my husband and I hope to squeeze in a little relaxation time. *hint hint* massage spa sleep *hint hint* We’ll see if we find a good and comfortable place for that.

So yeah, I won’t be able to blog during these days for our schedule is quite packed and I surely will be tired most of the time that when we go back to the hotel, I’ll be fast asleep. I think I have a few posts lined up and have already scheduled them for publishing. I will also be checking my email regularly, updating my store’s website and facebook. I hope that the trip is productive! :)

So stay tuned for a lot of photos! :p

Eric’s Birthday

As mentioned in my previous blog MAC Bottle Green, I went out with my friends last Thursday to celebrate Eric's birthday. Just wanted to share a couple of photos of me and my friends.

And I just want to tell Eric that I love him very dearly. And even though we don't see each other or talk to each other all the time, I am just here. I will always be. I don't have a lot of friends, because I don't use the term "friend" loosely. When I call someone my friend, it's the true meaning in its truest deepest form. And he IS my friend. He will always be. And he can always always count on me no matter what and I will always stand by his side. I know that as we get older, more responsibilities come into play and more problems come our way, but he is a good person with a great big heart. I know and trust that he will always find his way and if not, I will always be here to pull him to the right path.

I love you friend. And again, belated happy birthday! :)

MAC Bottle Green

As I cannot think of a better title. I used the eyeshadow name of my FOTD. Haha!

My dear friend, Eric, celebrated his birthday last Thursday and invited us for dinner. It was me, H, Eric and Bibi. But before I went to GB5 to meet up with them, there were chores that H and I had to do first. So I had to make sure that I don’t wear an evening makeup, for I will look so funny wearing heavy makeup and working in the morning.

This was the makeup I wore in the morning.

Products Used:

Face:
Skin Hour Mattifying Day Cream
Maybelline Clear Smooth Minerals in Buff
Dream Minerals Setting Powder in Gaia (as I needed the matte finish)
Fanny Serrano 2 way foundation in Rajah
Fanny Serrano blush brownish red and cool pink shades (I gotta do swatches of this or at least use numbers so you guys can see.)
Clinique All About Eyes Rich
Max Factor Panstick in True Beige as concealer

Eyes:
Urban Decay Primer Potion Original
MAC Eyeshadow in Bottle Green
Elianto Eyeshadow in Black for outer V
Elianto Eyeshadow in Off White for highlight
Elianto Eyeshadow in Tan for crease, to blend
MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack
Clinique Lash Doubling Mascara
Modelco Eyebrow Kit in Dark
MAC Browset in Beguile

Lips:
MAC Gilded Kiss

I didn’t put eyeliner on the lower lashline to keep my face looking fresh and not to make my eye makeup harsher and darker. I just brought some tools for retouching. And when we finished our chores, I added liner on my eyes and gave myself a different lip shade.

Lips:
Etude House Lipliner 07
MAC Lipglass for gloss

I didn’t use any lipstick. :) Just kept the shade looking natural, as the main focus was my eye makeup.

Here’s my eye makeup:

The only difference is I tightlined, I used Blacktrack on my waterline for a more dramatic look. :)

Which look do you like better? :)

Odd Mood

It’s been quite a hectic week as I’ve mentioned before. With the finishing touches of the condo unit in Makati, and the new branch of ShopSui at Teen Zone in Glorietta 3, I’m kinda feeling harassed all the time. It got to me recently, all the stress and tasks I had to do and gave me breakouts! Luckily I found time to go get a facial and to get a nice massage.

Still I feel bottled inside. I don’t know why. It’s like even when I’m just home, I feel pressure. I feel tired. I feel like there’s still a lot of things to do. I think it’s also because I know that my husband feels the same. And now that we’re married, it’s so easy to have the same aura and mood. That’s also why I’m excited for our business trip this month end. I know that it’s a business trip and not a vacation, but I feel like we need this. We need time away from everything, work, our stores, everything. He even mentioned he was excited too.

I don’t know. Maybe it’s just the mood, stress. I honestly don’t know what I need. I want some form of vacation from everything. Has that ever happened to you? I think it’s normal. It’s just a phase. I just want to get back on track.

One thing makes me happy though. Seeing the condo unit finished, polished and looking really quaint. I know we’ve worked our asses of to finish and make it look more presentable unlike how it was turned over to us, furnished but bare, no life. I’m happy that now, when I look at the photos of the room, it makes me proud. It gets me excited. It makes me wonder who will be living there. And what kind of people they are, or what they do.

Well like they say, take it one step at a time. Everything will fall into place.

Windows Live Writer Update

So I’ve been using Windows Live Writer for about two weeks now, I think. Just wanted to give you guys a quick update about it.

Pros:

  • Easy to use

  • So much easier to upload photos

  • Watermark photos while editting your entry

  • Draft a blog post even offline

  • Publish drafted posted anytime

  • Blogging for dummies!

Cons:

  • For some reason, my spacing keeps changing! Say in WLW (Windows Live Writer), it already has 2 spaces, when it’s published to my blog, it becomes 1 space!

  • I can’t tag. The tagging feature in WLW is different from the tags/labels of my blog.
Those so far are the updates. So now, what I do is use WLW for drafting my blogs and publish them when I have time to go online. Then I still have to edit them for the tags/labels or if there are some problems with the spacing. Hay. I do hope I find a solution for my problem though. Hmm…

Fanny Serrano Artist Box

I’ve already used my Fanny Serrano Artist  Box blush palette in so many entries that I’ve posted in my blog because for me, it’s one of my best buys. I like that it’s not too expensive plus I get wearable and flattering shades!

I think it’s better to see for yourself:

Around P1200.00 I think when I got it.

With flash

Yeah there’s already some cracks, since I’ve had this for about a year now or two. Haha!

without flash

So yeah, I’ve had this palette for so long now and since it’s quite pigmented, I haven’t finished it yet. This palette reminds me of the blush palette of Coastal Scents. But I think I’m really contented with this palette for it has all the shades I need. I don’t see anything wrong with it any problem at all. So I am in love with it. And I use it a lot!

Now actually, I’ve been very intrigued with cream blushes and am planning to try and use one, just to try it. :p Any suggestions?

Something Old, New, Borrowed, Blue

Traditions traditions. I’m quite old fashioned when it comes to wedding traditions. One of which is the “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue” tradition. Every bride needs to wear/bring these 4 things.  I wanted to make sure I have these.

I remember my aunt telling me that she brought and wore all these things because this tradition was thought to bring luck.

So here are the things I wore/brought:

Something old:
IMG-2830 Coins

The coins we used for the arrhae was actually my mom’s. These were the coins they used for my mom and dad’s wedding. My mom said that the coins were actually from Rome. Wooahh! :p

I felt so lucky that my mom was able to keep the coins. After the wedding, I made sure to keep it as well. I plan to give it to my sister when she gets married or my child when he/she marries. It would be like a family heirloom.

Something New
jayanne-olivercharlenew-10 Bridal Gown
Obviously my something new’s my gown. Haha! I think it’s no explanation necessary.

By the way, speaking of traditions, I did go to fittings. 3-4 times actually. But my designer made sure that the gown wasn’t completely finished when I went for my fittings. So they would make sure that there’s still a few pieces of beads not sewn on.

Something Borrowed
My something borrowed quite funny actually. I couldn’t think of something that I need to borrow. The jewelries that I used were old but they were given to me by my MIL. So it’s not actually “borrowed”.

I needed something else though, that I didn’t have. I needed a "free bra”. It’s a stick on silicon that would serve as bra. Since my gown has low back and front, I couldn’t wear bra. Luckily, one of my aunts has free bra. So I borrowed it from her. She has only worn it once, and was nice enough to lend it to me. Haha!

Something Blue
IMG-0401
Garter & Undies

So I have 2 something blues. The garter that’s supposed to be worn by the bride. And my underwear. :) I figured the garter will be taken off during the reception for the garter toss/bouquet game and will be passed on. So I wanted to have something else that’s blue that will be worn the whole time until the end of the wedding. I remembered during my aunt’s wedding, she also wore blue undies as her “something blue.” So I wore blue undies too. Haha!

So yeah, those were my something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. I don’t know if it works or what, if it really brings luck. But there’s no harm in doing it right? :p
