I admit I have been really late on my blog posts because of my hectic schedule. I have so many backlogs, my computer is already stored with photos for my posts. I have some products to be reviewed and to talk about. Hay! Now that it’s December, it’s starting to slow down. Though as I told my friends, my schedule is packed till the third week of the month. Yes, that’s how busy I’ve been. With gigs, projects, bazaars, shoots, of course my personal appointments too.
Here’s one of the things I have been meaning to talk about. It’s one of the toners I tried and am still using at the moment.
Here’s the story behind it. I normally use Skin Hour Firming & Clarifying Toner as my toner just because I don’t like putting alcohol on my face. It stings. The only non-organic toner I use is Clean & Clear’s. I am not very experimental when it comes to skin care because I have sensitive skin and I’m prone to redness and bumps.
Anyways, for my last trip to visit my husband last October (I know this is such a late late post!), I found my Skin Hour Firming & Clarifying Toner standard size to be too big for travel. I had a small limit for my baggage so I had to bring a small size toner. I went to the grocery to check on Clean & Clear, for the bottle was plastic and it was relatively smaller than my Skin Hour toner. However, they ran out of stock. I had no choice because I was already leaving that day, so I grabbed the Belo Essentials toner seeing that it cares for pores. Plus the fact that Belo is a credible brand.
The first time I used it I felt that it was too harsh for my skin. Just because I can feel my face squeak. Haha! I didn’t get redness though which was a good thing. I liked that it did remove excess dirt. With this, I felt that my skin’s really cleaned to perfection. I don’t know about the whitening characteristic though. But I wasn’t really looking forward to that anyways.
Regarding the pore refining characteristic, I don’t really know if it worked or not. For when we got back to the Philippines, H and I, we went for a facial. So I am not sure if the reason why my pores are a bit tighter is because of the facial or because of this toner.
H and my toner
H bought his Flawless Toner for men as recommended by his facial therapist. I think that the Belo Essentials toner would go well with the Belo Essentials Whitening Face Wash. Maybe with that, you get better results. For now, I’m just finishing this toner but I’d probably go back to my old Skin Hour Firming & Clarifying Toner and Clean & Clear toners. How about you? Do you use toners too?
